    • The present invention relates to a transmitter and receiver used in a tactical combat simulation, a system formed by these and a method for locating the hit point. The system comprises a transmitter for transmitting at least three intensity-profiled laser beams. The beams travel along different optical axes, intersect each other and are distinguishable from each other. The receiver comprises at least one detector and a data processing unit. The detector is sensitive to the laser beams produced by the shooter and is attached to the data processing unit arranged to determine the location of the detector in relation to the optical axes of the beams. By means of the invention the aiming line of the shot in the vicinity of the target can be precisely determined.

    • The present invention relates to a firearm simulation system which simulates leading fire. The firearm simulation system comprises a laser-emitting device mounted on a firearm and a target detection device installed on a target. The laser-emitting device comprises: a first control unit; a firing switch synchronously operated with the firing of a firearm; an image-processing unit for measuring a lead angle from the image of a moving target; a first GPS receiver; a laser-beam emitter; and a motor assembly for rotating the laser-beam emitter. The first control unit generates firing data when the firing switch is turned on, rotates the laser-beam emitter in reverse in accordance with the measured lead angle using the motor assembly, and then emits a laser beam on which the firing data are loaded. The target detection device comprises: a second control unit; a detection circuit unit for extracting firing data from a laser beam; a second GPS receiver; and a hit status indicator for reporting a hit result according to a driving signal received from the second control unit. The second control unit determines whether or not a target has been hit by solving simultaneous equations of a trajectory equation corresponding to a firearm and of an equation for target movement, and outputs the result to the hit status indicator.

    • A simulated weapon for simulating projectiles fired at a target includes a firearm housing and an optical transmitter. The firearm housing is configured to be aimed at the target by a gunner. The optical transmitter is mechanically coupled to the firearm housing and is configured to transmit an optical beam that simulates a projectile. The optical transmitter includes an optical generator for generating the optical beam and a beam shaping element operatively positioned to receive the optical beam from the optical generator. The beam shaping element is configured to adjust an intensity profile of the optical beam that is incident upon the target so that a first portion of the optical beam simulates a trajectory of a projectile and a second portion of the optical beam has a greater divergence than the first portion of the optical beam.
