    • A pressure balance or proportioning valve which comprises a disk-shaped mobile unit (10) having a pair of cylindrical shells (12) extending from each side of the mobile unit (10) which is axially movable in a bore (2) of a housing which contains hot and cold water inlet (5) and outlet (3, 4) pipes. The housing includes hot and cold water outlet pipes (3, 4), a cold water inlet (5) or supply pipe in one end of the bore, and a hot water inlet (5) or supply pipe at the other and opposite end of the bore. The hot and cold water supply pipes terminate in end walls (7) and have cylindrical side walls (13) adjacent the end walls with openings (14) extending radially through the cylindrical side walls (13). The mobile unit (10) is disposed intermediate the end walls (7) and moves axially, in response to unequal water pressure, in the bore between the end walls (7). Movement of the mobile unit (10) results in the cylindrical shells (12) either blocking or uncovering the radially extending openings (14) thereby equalizing the amount of hot and cold water entering the hot and cold water outlet pipes.

    • A thermostatic valve for mixer taps comprising a body provided with a chamber for mixing water, is described. Inflowing side openings for separately inflowing hot water and cold water to the mixing chamber are provided at different heights of the body. Automated means for regulating the flow rates of hot water and cold water operate to intercept the inflowing side openings. The automated means comprise in their turn a thermostatic bulb operating in the mixing chamber and a movable piston to feedback close completely or partially, and selectively, the inflowing side openings in response to the expansions the thermostatic head is subjected to. The valve body comprises a first quick - coupling portion shaped so as to mechanically and fluidically couple with a pressure regulator adapted to regulate the flows of hot water and cold water.

    • A thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) for operation across a range of flow rates wherein during low pressure operation water enters the TVM (100) into chamber (157) around the circumference of the valve member (150) and cold valve seat (140) and hot water enters into chamber (158), the hot and cold water entering chamber (235) and becoming thoroughly mixed. At low pressure drops, the check valves (230) remain closed so the only pathway the mixed water can follow is through the sensing chamber (125) and the mixed water enters discharge portion (120) to the mixed water outlet (245), the flow path of the hot and cold water shown by pathways (255) and (260), the water becomes thoroughly mixed before entering the sensing chamber (225). For high flow rate operation the water enters and is mixed within the valve as before but in this case the pressure drop across the check valve operates the check valves (230), allowing the mixed water to follow an additional route to the discharge portion (120) and thence to the outlet (245) with additional flow pathway (265) through the valves (230), ensuring accurate temperature sensing.

    • A mixing adjusting thermostatic water valve with a pressure balancing device includes a valve body (14), a water temperature adjusting block (8) and a temperature sensor (6). A cold water pipe (1) and a coaxial hot water pipe (10) are respectively provided on the left and right sides of the valve body (14), a mixing water pipe (7) is communicated with the cold and hot water pipes (1, 10) to form an inner cavity (15) in which the water temperature adjusting block (8) is provided. An adjusting block tooth (8-1) is provided at the bottom of the water temperature adjusting block (8) and engages with a rack (5) parallel with the axis of the cold and hot water pipes (1, 10). A left and a right pressure balancing cavities (17, 16) are arranged on two sides of the lower part of the inner cavity (15) respectively, and the two ends of the rack (5) pass through the internal sidewalls of the left and right pressure balancing cavities (17, 16) respectively. A soft bowl type piston is arranged between the left and right vertical platforms (5-2, 5-1) and the internal sidewalls of the left and right pressure balancing cavities (17, 16) respectively to form the pressure balancing device.
