    • The invention relates to a plug-in connector (1) for circuit boards (40), comprising a number of contact elements (30). Each contact element (30) is fitted with two terminal ends, one of which is designed as a wire-connecting contact for connecting wires while the other terminal end is designed as a tuning fork contact (31) for contacting terminal areas on a circuit board (40). The plug-in connector (1) further comprises a plastic housing inside which the contact elements (30) are arranged. The wire-connecting contacts can be connected from outside and are designed as wire-wrap contacts (32) which are disposed in at least two rows. The wire-wrap contacts (32) of the different rows are offset relative to one another.

    • An electrical connector having one or more electrical contacts for providing an electrical connection to an inserted pin is provided. The electrical connector includes a spring made of electrically conductive material and a loading element attached to the spring and arranged to define an opening for pin insertion. The spring is physically arranged relative to the loading element to create a tension on the loading element. The electrical connector includes at least one conductive wire in electrical communication with the spring. The wire is wound around the spring and the loading element, providing multiple electrical contact points radially inward relative to a center of the opening to provide electrical contact to the inserted pin. When the pin is inserted into the opening, the loading element is tensioned such that the loading element generates a contact force at each contact point.

    • An electrical connector is disclosed for receiving a wire wrapped thereto in wire-wrap fashion and a service wire removably connected thereto. In one application, a number of the connectors are mounted to a terminal block and are used to connect wires of a telephone cable, which are wire-wrapped to the connectors, to respective service wires, which are connected to respective connectors by a fastener arrangement. A connector according to the invention includes a first, electrically-conducting piece having an elongated post configured to receive a wire wrapped thereto in wire-wrap fashion and a second piece not directly fixed to the first piece including structure for connecting the service wire to the connector such that the service wire is electrically connected to the first piece, whereby an electrical path is established from the wrapped wire to the service wire through the first, electrically-conducting piece. For connecting the service wire, the second piece in a first embodiment comprises a female threaded member including a threaded bore, and the fastener comprises a screw engageable in that bore. In a second embodiment, the second piece includes a male threaded stud and the fastener comprises a nut engageable on that stud.
