摘要： The present invention relates to a novel medical use of glucagon, and other compounds with glucagon activity, as vasodilators, to assist in the delivery of therapeutic agents or in the operation of sensor devices which determine the level of analytes in the blood. In particular, the compound is administered in temporal coordination with the active agent and/or in conjunction with determination of the analyte by a bodily sensor, and at a site which is in the vicinity of the site of administration of the active agent and/or of the site(s) of sensing of the analyte by the bodily sensor. This includes in particular the delivery of insulin in the treatment of diabetes, and the determination of blood glucose levels by glucose sensors. Also provided herein are integrated systems for performing the medical uses and therapies.

Future blood glucose measurement values may be predicted by calculating deviations between predicted blood glucose measurement values and additional blood glucose measurement values. A gain parameter may be determined for use with a model of predicting a users blood glucose measurement values and determining future drug dosages. Safety constraints may be determined based on an evaluation of missing blood glucose measurement values. In addition, safety constraints may be determined based on an evaluation of a user's increased interaction with an automatic drug delivery device. A bolus uncertainty metric to determine an amount of insulin to be provided in a bolus dosage in response to a bolus request may be calculated.

摘要： A melatonin optimization system detects users' hormone sensitivity through sleep architecture monitoring and recommends a dose of melatonin personalized to each user in relation to the user's behaviors, needs and health conditions. Determining an optimized melatonin dose requires accurate prediction of non-intervention sleep onset latency for the upcoming sleep period so that the dose can be based on the difference between the user's desired sleep onset latency and the predicted non-intervention sleep onset latency. The system can use either a general population-based sleep onset latency prediction model or a machine learning model trained to be personalized for each user.

摘要： The invention provides a system for detecting eye movements of a person, e.g. during the person sleeping. A contact lens with an embedded transducer and associated electronics is used to transmit a signal through an eyelid of a person wearing the contact lens. The transducer may be an infrared LED, or an ultrasonic transducer. A signal receiver system tracks the signal from the transducer in the contact lens through the eyelid of the person as an indication of movement of the person's eye. E.g. by an infrared camera in case of an infrared LED, or an ultrasonic receiver in case the transducer in the contact lens is an ultrasonic transmitter. For sleep analysis, the signal receiver system can be placed in a blind-fold or head band. Further, an analyzer system is arranged to analyze an output from the signal receiver system and to determine a measure of eye movements accordingly. The analyzer system may perform a sleep analysis, e.g. REM detection, based on the detected eye movements, if a time series of outputs form the signal receiver system is obtained during the person sleeping. Such system provides a simple low cost system for sleep detection which allows sleep detection based on eye movements in a home setup without any complicated equipment and procedures.
