    • The present invention provides support frame for a tire assembly for irrigation systems that prevents the formation of ruts caused by repeated travel along a path by tires of a mobile vehicle or structure. The support frame includes a force transfer member connected between the support frame and the irrigation tower structure for transferring forces generated by the tire assembly to the tower structure. The support frame includes plural adjustable mounting features to accommodate a retro fit to a variety of existing units. The support frame further includes an adjustable compensation spring to adjust to forces applied to the support frame caused by uneven terrain. The support frame is adapted for use with corner sweeping units.

    • A tire pressure monitoring system (10) including a magnetic actuator (11) having an air pressure transducer therein for generating a signal proportional to the interior tire air pressure. The actuator (11) operates parallel to the axle to alleviate speed sensitivity. Magnetic actuator (11) communicates with a stationary field sensor (12) permanently mounted on the vehicle at a close proximity to the magnetic actuator (11). The magnetic actuator (11) rotates about the access with the wheel (15), and for every revolution of the wheel (15), comes in to close proximity to the sensor (12) at least once, and communicates information about the internal tire pressure to the driver.

    • A central tire inflation system for maintaining tire inflation on a vehicle having a torque transfer sleeve connected between an axle plug assembly and a stationary shaft on the rotary union assembly. A flexible conduit extends through the axle plug to the rotary union assembly and is used to provide air pressure to tires connected to the rotary union assembly. The torque transfer sleeve limits rotational torque on the flexible conduit. Primary and secondary seals are provided on the rotary union assembly as well. A vent chamber between the primary and secondary seals allows the release of air which exits the primary seal, which prevents pressure from entering the lubrication area of the rotary union assembly.

    • Wheel for vehicles, which comprises a rim with shaped flanges for gripping a tubeless tire. The rim includes a first unidirectional air valve that is inserted through a first orifice, for inflating the tubeless tire; a second orifice through which a second unidirectional air valve cab be inserted; a tubeless tire, gripped by the rim; a backup tube that is connected to the second unidirectional air valve and when deflated, is attached to the rim surface that extends between the flanges. The backup tube, when inflated through the second unidirectional air valve, is capable of supporting a tire punctured by a piercing object. The wall of the tube consists of a rigid layer on its perimeter, that faces the inner side of the tread of the tire and is made of a rigid material for protecting the tube from being punctured by the object, when inflated; and a spacing layer that is externally affixed to the perimeter of the rigid layer. The spacing layer is made of less rigid material and is utilized for providing spacing between the inner side and the rigid layer. The less rigid material increases the contact area between the inner side and the spacing layer, in the vicinity the object.
