摘要： A portable tank has a sloped bottom structure with a smooth internal bottom surface sloping along a single bend toward a bottom discharge opening in the bottom plate. The sloped bottom structure has upturned curved side portions merging with upwardly extending wall portions joining the vertical walls of the tank along a horizontal edge. The bottom structure is formed by forming a discharge opening in a flat bottom plate near one edge, forming a gap between the opening and the edge which diverges from the gap toward the edge, bending the sides of the plate upwardly, and bringing the side of the gap together to mate in a closed seam bowing the bottom of the plate outward at the opening to slope the bottom towards the discharge opening.

One of these side walls has an upper portion formed between the respective corners with a window within which may fit a panel. A pair of double-axis hinge elements each have first portion journaled in the one wall adjacent the lower edge of the window for pivoting about a first axis and a second portion journaled in the panel for pivoting about a second axis generally parallel to and offset from the first axis. These hinges let the panel lie flat against the lower portion of the respective side when in the open condition, yet ensure that the entire hinge arrangement will lie inside a plane defined by the outer surface of the respective side when the panel is closed.

The invention comprises a dutch door having separate and independent upper and lower door portions interconnected by a unique latch-hinge assembly. The latch-hinge assembly allows the upper door to be disengaged from the lower door, rotated about an upper hinge, and be stored atop the cargo container on a slide thereon which engages with a track extruded in the upper door. The upper and lower doors may, as a unit, be opened by the folding of the lower door onto the upper door about the latch-hinge assembly and a subsequent storage of the two doors atop the cargo container may then be achieved by means of the slide-track engagement.
