    • PURPOSE:To form patterned electrolytic oxide films by providing the film of the monomer of an arom. compd. or is formed by mixing an electrolyte with the monomer on an electrode substrate made of an insulating material having patterned conductive parts on the surface, then electrolytically oxidizing said film. CONSTITUTION:The conductors 2 of desired patterns are formed of metals such as Au, Pt, Ni and Cr on the surface of the insulating electrode substrate 1 and the monomer film 5 of the arom. compd. such as biphenyl is formed thereon. An electrolytic film 6 of alkali metal salts or alkaline earth metal salts, etc. is otherwise formed on the monomer film 5 of the arom. compd. or a film 8 consisting of the mixture composed of the monomer of the arom. compd. and the electrolyte is formed thereon. A conductor layer 7 is formed thereon. The electrolytic oxidation by the electrolyte is executed by putting the substrate having no conductor layer 7 on the surface into the electrolytic soln. and energizing the same and the counter electrode or by energizing the metallic patterns 2 of the electrode substrate 1 and the conductor layer 7 if said substrate has the conductor layer 7 on the surface, by which the patterned electrolytic oxide films are formed on the monomer 5 of the arom. compd. or the monomer 8 mixed with the electrolyte.

    • PURPOSE:To continuously produce a conductive resin sheet having uniform conductivity by introducing the resin sheet continuously formed by electrodeposition into an electrolyte and forming the conductive polymer in the resin sheet by electrolysis. CONSTITUTION:A voltage is impressed between an endless belt-like rotating electrode 13 and stationary electrode 14 in a soln. 17 of an electrodepositable polymer in an electrodeposition cell 11. The resin sheet 20 formed in such a manner is stripped from the rotating electrode by the cooperation of a press roll 15 and a guide roll 16 and is thereafter continuously passed through a drying cell 21 and is dried. The resin sheet 20 is then passed into the electrolyte 25 contg. the monomer which is electrolytically polymerizable to the conductive polymer in an electrolytic polymn. cell 22 via a rotating anode 23. The voltage is impressed between the rotation anode 23 and stationary cathode 4 in the electrolyte 25 by a DC power source 26. The electrolyte 25 is thereby electrolytically polymerized and the conductive polymer is formed in the resin sheet 20, by which the conductive resin sheet 28 is formed. Said sheet is coiled on a coiler 29.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a substrate of an endlss belt type, conductive articles formed by using such substrate and an electrostatic photographic image forming member formed by using such conductive articles as well as a process for producing these substrate, conductive articles and image forming member. CONSTITUTION: The process for producing the substrate includes the respective stages of (a) immersing articles for molding having conductive molding surfaces into an electrodeposition liquid contg. polymer particles and nucleus forming material, (b) electrodepositing a coating on the articles for molding and (c) forming the substrate contg. the nucleus forming material by fusing the coating. This method further include a stage for forming a metallic layer on the substrate by immersing the substrate into a non-electrical plating bath. The processing for producing the electrostatic photographic image forming member includes a method for non-electrically adhering a metal onto the substrate. The process for producing the belt includes a stage for nonelectrically adhering a metal onto the endless substrate. The electrostatic photographic image forming member includes the substrate contg. the polymer and the nucleus formable material and the metallic layer. The endless belt contains the polymer and the nucleus formable material.

    • PURPOSE: To produce a thick and flexible tree fixing film by employing at least one sleeve electrode coaxially spaced apart from and surrounding at least one other electrode in a bath comprising a dispersion of electrically charged thermoplastic film forming polymer particles in an organic liquid dispersion medium. CONSTITUTION: A belt forming sleeve mandrel electrode is placed in a container and a counter electrode having center on the inside of the belt forming sleeve mandrel electrode is placed coaxially with the mandrel over the entire length thereof. An output source is connected on the negative side with the belt forming sleeve mandrel electrode as a cathode and connected on the positive side with a metal or graphite rod as an anode. Electrodeposition is conducted with a specified applying voltage at the ambient temperature for a specified time and then the belt forming sleeve mandrel electrode having inner surface subjected to electrodeposition coating is taken out from the container and placed in an oven at a temperature and for a time sufficient for aggregate polymer particles into a uniform viscous sol layer and removing solvent by evaporation.
