The inner hatch 5 is attached to the periphery of the opening 4 provided in the ceiling 3b by a hinge in an openable and closable manner. A rising portion 6 rises upward from the peripheral edge of the opening 4. The outer hatch 7 is connected to the upper surface of the rising portion 6 by a hinge 7a in an openable and closable manner. A pair of rails 8 is arranged in the vertical direction on the inner wall surface of the frame 3a of a columnar structure of the shelter main body 3. The movable floor 10 is capable of moving up and down inside the internal space 9 along the rails 8.

    • The invention relates to a method for erecting an underground structure, wherein the method is intended to ensure that the underground structure is assembled as safely as possible. The method is characterized in that a shaft is sunk at the erection site and the shaft is closed off by a cover in which an opening is provided, in that a lifting/lowering device is provided in the region of the opening, in that a locking mechanism is provided in the shaft below the opening, in that a section of the structure is provided in the region of the opening and is connected to the lifting/lowering device, is lowered through the opening down to the locking mechanism and locked and is then released from the lifting/lowering device after locking, in that a process cycle is performed in which a further section of the structure is provided in the region of the opening, said section is connected to the lifting/lowering device and to the locked section of the structure, then the locking of the previous section is released, the structure sections situated in the shaft are lowered until the uppermost section is situated in the locking region, and the uppermost section of the structure is locked, and this process cycle is repeated until the sections required for erecting the underground structure have been inserted into the shaft.

    • The present disclosure relates to a backreamer including a distal end configured for connection to product and a proximal end configured for attachment to a distal end of a drill string. The backreamer includes a backreaming cutter having a cutting side that faces toward the proximal end of the backreamer. The backreamer also includes a proximal assembly that extends between the proximal end of the backreamer and the backreaming cutter. The proximal assembly defines a vacuum passage for removing material cut by the backreaming cutter. The backreamer further includes a drive stem for transferring torque to the backreaming cutter for rotating the backreaming cutter. The drive stem is rotatably supported within the proximal assembly such that the drive stem and the backreaming cutter are rotatable relative to the proximal assembly. The backreamer additionally includes a distal assembly that extends between the backreaming cutter and the distal end of the backreamer. The distal assembly includes a vacuum blocking plate positioned distally with respect to the backreaming cutter. The backreaming cutter and the drive stem are rotatable relative to the vacuum blocking plate.

    • Described herein are apparatus, systems and methods useful in forming underground vertical structures. Methods are described for constructing an underground vertical structure, comprising the steps of excavating soil to a sufficient depth to create a circular void to accommodate a plurality of segments; assembling a ring shaped structure comprising the plurality of segments; connecting the outside surface of the ring shaped structure with the soil in said circular void, thereby securing the ring shaped structure to the soil; excavating earth beneath the ring shaped structure to accommodate a second ring shaped structure; and repeating steps b-d thereby forming one or more additional ring shaped structures downward into the earth below already formed ring shaped structures until a predetermined depth is reached; thereby forming the underground vertical structure. Systems to perform the above methods are also disclosed.
