    • Disclosed herein is a coupling device for converting a below-ground potable water well installation to an above-ground installation, the device comprising a housing having a first opening which is dimensioned to receive an upper end of a below-ground well casing and a second opening which is dimensioned to receive a lower end of a well casing extension; gasket means located adjacent the first and second openings for sealing the respective connections between the housing, the below-ground well casing and the well casing extension, the gasket means further providing a first seating surface to seat the upper end of the well casing and a second seating surface to seat the lower end of the well casing extension; and a central region including a passage to receive a well line adaptor there between.

    • A downhole pump system allows fluid to be pumped from a well to the surface through a production tubing string, while also allowing the downhole pump 10 to be retrieved to the surface while the production tubing string remains in the well. The downhole pump may include a hold down housing 12, a mandrel 14, a drive coupling 18, and a lifting nut 20. The pump is driven by a drive rod, which conventionally extends from the surface to the downhole pump. Axial movement of pump components may be prevented by a spring lock mechanism 24, while torque transmitting surfaces 26 prevent rotation of the pump housing 12 with respect to a landing nipple 25.

    • A tubing string rotator is disclosed that comprises an outer housing, a gear mandrel, and a tubing string hanger. The outer housing has an internal bore extending from its upper to its lower. The gear mandrel is received and supported within the bore of the outer housing. The gear mandrel has an internal bore extending from its upper to its lower end. The tubing string hanger has a series of circumferentially positioned generally downwardly oriented teeth and is receivable and suspendable within the internal bore of the gear mandrel such that the teeth on the tubing string hanger engage a series of generally upwardly oriented teeth circumferentially positioned about the internal surface of the gear mandrel. Rotational force applied to the gear mandrel is at least partially transferred to the tubing string hanger through engagement of the teeth on the gear mandrel with the teeth on the hanger causing the tubing string hanger to rotate with the gear mandrel.

    • The invention generally concerns a submersible well pumping system comprising an axially elongated housing having a diameter less than the bore hole of the well, a multi-chamber hydraulically driven diaphragm pump, suspended in the well. The pump is driven by a self-contained, closed hydraulic system, activated by an electric or hydraulic motor. The flow of working fluid into and out of the working fluid sub-chambers is controlled by a two state main valve with a means to insure the main valve is completely switched, in turn controlled by a control valve which senses the differential pressure across the working diaphragm and generates a hydraulic signal to change the state of the two state main valve, typically when either diaphragm reaches the top of the pumping stroke. Singly or in combination, the means to assure the main valve is completely switched between the two states is an energy storage device, hysterisis in the control valves and or a two position latch the main valve.
