    • PURPOSE:To detect the quantity of the displacement of a diaphragm in the optimum detection timing, by calculating the detection timing of the quantity of the displacement of the diaphragm corresponding to a rotational speed. CONSTITUTION:A rotation detection means M6 detects the rotary reference position and rotational speed of an internal combustion engine and the detection period control part M7 of a fuel jet operation means M5 calculates the angle-of- rotation position of injection corresponding to the rotational speed. The control part M7 further calculates the angle having the predetermined relation to the angle-of-rotation position and, after the engine is rotated by the angle having the predetermined relation from the rotary reference position detected by the means 6, the quantity of the displacement of a diaphragm M4 due to the fuel, which is injected in a fuel jet chamber M2 receiving the back pressure of a back pressure chamber M3 held to predetermined pressure through the diaphragm M4, is detected. By this method, the displacement position of the diaphragm M4 is not detected in a region where the diaphragm M4 displaces unstably by the pressure wave after the injection of fuel due to a fuel jet apparatus M1 is finished and accurate fuel jet quantity can be measured.
