    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve flux of light utilization rate of the light from a light-emitting element, in a lamp for vehicle using the light-emitting element as the light source.
      SOLUTION: A light-emitting element 12 is arranged facing frontward at the vicinity of the optical axis Ax, extending in the longitudinal direction of a lamp unit and a translucent member 14 is arranged at the front side of this light-emitting element 12. The front face 4a of this translucent member 14 is constructed of ellipsoid of revolution with the optical axis Ax being the center axis, and the back end face 14b is formed to pass a first focus F1 of the back side of this ellipsoid of revolution. Further, a reflector 16, having a reflection surface 16a formed so as to surround a light-emitting chip 14a in a nearly cylindrical shape, is provided between the light-emitting element 12 and the translucent member 14 so that its front end aperture 16c contacts the rear end face 14b of the translucent member 14. Thereby, the direct light, from the light-emitting element 12 and the light, once reflected or plural times at the reflecting surface 16a of the reflector 16 are made to enter the translucent member 14, and flux of light utilization rate of the light from the light-emitting element 12 is improved.
