Which, upon premature impact on an obstacle, is jammed in its race (22) between a shoulder (18, 19, 20) on the inner wall of the casing and a ramp (17) of a groove (14, 15, 16) on the impact body (4), thereby preventing detonation. In order to allow for adjustment of predefined distances for the fore-bore safety, the invention proposes giving the race (22) for the blocking ball (23) a stepped design so that the blocking ball (23) can be jammed at several places within the fuse (2) between shoulders (18, 19, 20) and ramps (17) of different grooves (14, 15, 16).

    • An actuator for use in conjunction with a detonator for blasting comprises electronic circuitry which on receiving input signals generates an output arm signal to arm a detonator, and then after a predetermined delay an output actuate signal to fire the detonator and an associated explosive charge. The delay is capable of being remotely and precisely set. The actuator is preferably used in conjunction with a control device which has a microcomputer whose memory contains arm and actuate codes and which has both arm and actuate keys. This microcomputer is such that the actuate key must be operated within a predetermined period after operation of the arm key, otherwise an actuate signal is not transmitted to the actuator.

    • A rocket propelled projectile is provided with a deflection device for temporarily deflecting the direction of flow of a gas jet issuing from the nozzle of the rocket motor. The deflection device comprises a flow deflecting member which is pivotally attached to the rocket motor and which extends to an active position wherein the flow deflecting member overlies a portion of the exhaust area of the nozzle. The deflecting member is temporarily retained in its active position by a locking pin which is positioned within the nozzle in the path of flow of the gas jet. The locking pin is eroded by the gas jet to release the flow deflecting member after a period of time, to permit the flow deflecting member to pivot to an inactive position wherein the flow deflecting member no longer overlies the exhaust area of the nozzle.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic type delay detonator having a high anti-shock characteristic against an explosion in which a plurality of explosives are loaded in an item to be broken and an explosion delay tinme is controlled in a high accurate manner during an explosion work for exploding these explosives in sequence. SOLUTION: There are provided an energy accumulation circuit 5 for accumulating electrical energy supplied from a blasting device, a first oscillator circuit 11 with a crystal oscillator element operated by the electrical energy accumulated in the energy accumulating circuit being applied as a reference value, a second oscillator circuit 13 having an anti-shock characteristic, and a time counting period making circuit 14 for use in making a time counting period by the second oscillator circuit in such a way that the time counting period may coincide with a reference period made by the first oscillator circuit. This electronic type delay detonator is also comprised of trigger signal generating circuits 31, 32 for outputting a trigger signal in reference to the time counting period under an operation of the second oscillator circuit and of an electrical discharging circuit 8 for discharging electrical energy responding against the trigger signal and accumulated in the energy accumulating circuit.
