    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an uninterruptible power supply for which a separating means can be tested preventively and automatically under normal operating conditions, thereby insuring the ability to effectively separate inputs from outputs and energy storage portion under emergeny operating conditions. SOLUTION: An uninterruptible power supply (10) includes inputs for connection to a main power supply (1), outputs for connection to an electric load (2), an auxiliary power supply (16), and a selective separating means (14') configured so as to separate the auxiliary power supply (16) from the inputs during emergency operation. First means (26, 28) cause the separating means (14') to establish a reverse polarity state during a test period (ΔT 2 ) under normal operating conditions. Second means (30, 24) monitor voltages proportional to the input voltages (U in ) to the separating means (14'), and then the monitored voltages (U in ) remain at a first reference value (U ref2 ) during the test period (ΔT 2 ), or error signal (DT Error ) is delivered, when if they become higher than this reference value.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage detection circuit for controlling the voltage of a terminal to which the power is supplied so as to become a desired voltage, having reduced power consumption, improved voltage detection accuracy, a low ripple voltage and the reduced number of components.
      SOLUTION: An output signal of an error amplifier 5 having a reference terminal to which a voltage having no fluctuation of a temperature characteristic is applied and a detection terminal to which a voltage detection terminal VO2 is connected is transferred to a control terminal of a switch element 6. A voltage fluctuation of the voltage detection terminal VO2 is outputted to a detection signal output terminal PC as a current signal by a V-I conversion circuit constituted of a current mirror circuit comprising a constant-current source 4, the switch element 6, a switch element 7 and a switch element 8, through the error amplifier 5. The signal is transferred to the outside by a photocoupler 14, and the voltage of an output voltage terminal VOUT is controlled.
