    • PURPOSE:To obtain a developer which is suitable for wet or half-dry diazo copying and provides a colored image having always a specified high density by dissolving a liquid org. amine in a solvent of hydrocarbon or a solvent mixture composed of oil and halogenated hydrocarbon solvent. CONSTITUTION:A solvent mixture which dissolves a specific org. amine but does not dissolve the essential component and forming dye in a photosensitive layer is prepd. by mixing (A) a solvent or oil of hydrocarbon base (e.g.; isopropyl benzene, kerosene) and (B) 0.5-10wt% halogenated hydrocarbon solvent (e.g.; dichloropentane, p-chlorotoluene) basing on the weight of the component (A). A liquid org. amine (e.g.; n-hepthyl amine, 2-ethylhexylamine) is dissolved in the resulting solvent mixture, whereby an intended developer for diazo copying is obtd. The resulting developer obviates the contamination of the developer and the base texture of a copy, the discoloration in the dyed image, etc.

    • PURPOSE:To effect uniform and sufficient development, even if the contact pressure between a developing roller and a photosensitive sheet is lowered, thereby to prevent the developing roller from being distorted and the photosensitive paper from being rolled up by applying an electric field to the developing roller having fine roughnesses on the surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:The developing liquid 2 in a developing dish 1 is drawn by a development supply roll 3, and the quantity of the liquid 2 to be held in the fine roughnesses on the surface of the roll 3 is controlled. A high DC voltage is impressed between a high voltage pressure roller 5 mounted above the roll 3 and the roll 3. The photosensitive paper 6 having an exposed latent image is fed thereto through guide rollers 7 and 7. Simultaneously as the paper 6 is brought into contact with the roll 3 by the action of the high voltage, the liquid 2 wetting the surface is drawn by the action of the electric field into contact with the surface of the paper 6 so that a clear image can be obtained instantly by the coupling reaction.
