摘要： A system and approach for providing software device or secure digital (SD) cards for computing devices. An SD card may be programmed with a unique card identification register (CID) value during a manufacture of the card. The CID value cannot necessarily be changed by a card host such as a computing device. A securely signed license may be generated with the CID value (or a hash of the CID value) as part of the license's plaintext. The license may be stored on the card with the CID value. The card may be installed in virtually any computing device that supports the card. The card may be easily removed from the computing device and installed in another computing device or be placed in a storage mechanism. The license may be treated as portable like the card.

A device may be capable of downloading content that may include at least one secret portion, wherein any secret portions of the content may be directed to a secure workplace in the device not accessible to device operating system components, applications, users, etc. The device may then present the content in a manner that allows secret portions of the content to be executed without direct access. For example, the device may download content, and a director module in the device may direct any secret portions of the downloaded content to a secure workspace. During execution of the content, any inputs required by the secret portions may be provided to the secure workspace, and any resulting outputs from the secret portions may then be used during content presentation.

摘要： A content processing integrated circuit includes a system-on-a-chip (SoC) that further includes a processor to receive an authentication request from an external device for authenticating if the SoC is permitted to receive encrypted content from the external device, and to receive the encrypted content once the SoC is authenticated. An authentication processor is provided and coupled to the processor to authenticate the SoC to the external device when the processor receives the authentication request, and to generate a decryption key for decrypting the encrypted content. A decryption processor is provided and coupled to the processor and the authentication processor to receive the decryption key from the authentication processor and to decrypt the encrypted content with the decryption key. A wireless display system with such SoC is also described. A method of implementing a secure and robust content protection in a SoC is also described.
