    • According to an arrangement, an information processing device (10) is communicably connected to a vehicle-mounted device (20) and includes a receiver (11), a calculator (12), a vehicle database (14), and a transmitter (15). The receiver (11) receives transmission information (Tx) transmitted from the vehicle-mounted device (20) and containing vehicle identification information, vehicle position information, a flag for indicating presence or absence of alternation of the vehicle-mounted device (20), and predetermined log data recorded by the vehicle-mounted device (20). The calculator (12) calculates, based on the received transmission information (Tx), a degree of reliability of vehicle having the vehicle-mounted device (20) mounted therein. The vehicle database (14) holds, for each vehicle, the calculated degree of reliability and the vehicle position information. The transmitter (15) refers to the vehicle database (14) to identify a surrounding vehicle of a target vehicle, and transmits, to the vehicle-mounted device (20) of the target vehicle, vehicle reception information (Rx) containing the degree of reliability calculated for the surrounding vehicle.

    • An identification system for a vehicle comprises at least one accessible identification element (16) to be applied, in use, in an easily accessible or visible position on a vehicle, and on which is reproduced an accessible data code (17), containing at least one unique identification code. The system further comprises a document identification element (24) to be applied, in use, to an identification document of the vehicle, and on which is reproduced a document data code (25) containing in an identical way at least the unique identification code. At least one remote node (34) is connected to a database (36) that can be interrogated via a data network (30) by a user terminal (40) capable of optically reading one of the data codes in order to decode the unique identification code thereof. The database (36) is capable of storing data relating to a plurality of vehicles, each identified by its own unique identification code.
