摘要： There is provided a communications system including a holographic display for each of two users, the system operable to enable the two users to communicate over the internet using voice and holographic image over internet protocol, each user using a holographic display, wherein each holographic display is for generating a holographic reconstruction of a three dimensional scene (3D-S), each holographic display comprising a light source, a spatial light modulator (SLM) and an optical system illuminating the SLM, wherein reconstruction of each single object point of the 3D-S only requires a sub-hologram as a subset of the SLM and wherein holographic calculations for encoding the subsets of the SLM with the sub-holograms are executed immediately as soon as single object points in space are available after having been processed by a 3D pipeline.

The immersive display system includes at least two screens and at least two projector systems. The screens have a multi-layered structure configured to selectively reflect light in a tailored polarization state. Adjacent screens can be configured to selectively reflect light in orthogonal polarization states. The projector systems can be configured to project video onto their respective screens with light in a suitable polarization state. The screens can be further configured to selectively reflect light within a plurality of tailored spectral bands, the spectral bands being different for respective screens.

摘要： Implementations described herein generally relate to the use of display screens. More specifically, implementations generally relate to a large format transmissive and self-emissive display screen where the display screen includes multiple screens coupled together using transparent adhesive tape. Implementations described herein minimize internal reflections visible to screen viewers when an edge of the adhesive layer is scanned by a beam spot produced by a scanning beam in a scanning beam system having multiple screens held together by the adhesive layer to form a seamless viewing screen. In some implementations, the internal reflections are minimized by applying the adhesive layer between horizontal and vertical seams between each screen of the multiple screens wherein the adhesive layer has non-straight edges so as to minimize the total surface area of the edge of the adhesive layer that falls within the beam spot produced by the scanning beam.

摘要： A “PiMovs System” provides a “physically interactive manifestation of a volumetric space” (i.e., PiMovs). The perimeter of a geometric framework is wrapped with contiguous display surfaces to cover each section of the perimeter with adjacent display surfaces. Additional contiguous display surfaces may cover top and/or bottom surfaces of the framework, with some edges of those display surfaces also adjacent edges of display surfaces on the perimeter. Sensors track positions and natural user interface (NUI) inputs of users within a predetermined zone around the framework. A contiguous volumetric projection is generated and displayed over the framework via the display surfaces as a seamless wrapping across each edge of each adjacent display surface. This volumetric projection is then automatically adapted to tracked user positions and NUI inputs.
