    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly generate a vaporized gas without distributing power to a vaporization heater 8 when the combustion of a mixed gas is required because of the shortage of combustion during the single combustion of a hydrogen-containing gas, in a combustion device burning the hydrogen-containing gas after burning the mixed gas. SOLUTION: This combustion device comprises a first liquid fuel vaporizing section 2 heated by power distribution to the heater 8, and a second liquid fuel vaporizing section 15 heated by recovering the heat of flame, and in starting a fuel cell, the fuel is vaporized at the first liquid fuel vaporizing section 2, and the fuel is vaporized in the second liquid fuel vaporizing section 15 when the combustion of the mixed gas is requested during the single operation of the hydrogen-containing gas. Since the second liquid vaporizing section 15 is kept at a high temperature by recovering heat from the flame during the combustion, the fuel can be immediately vaporized without distributing the power to the heater 8, and thus the power consumption can be reduced.
