Also along the outer circumferential face of the rotor 102, plural sets, each consisting of a deformable plate body 103, a pressure accumulating chamber 107, and a porous plate 108, are arranged at the prescribed intervals. And each pressure accumulating chamber 107 is equipped with a port 107a which connects its inside and outside. Thus, when a pressurized fluid is taken into the pressure accumulating chamber 107, the deformable plate body swells out and closely touches on the casing to form a working chamber with little leakage.

    • PURPOSE:To pull up continuously a billet having a uniform thickness without sticking in pulling up type continuous casting of a thin plate by using a rotary casting mold by allowing molten slag to flow out of a non-cooled stationary casting mold which contacts the outside circumference in the projecting part at both ends of a rotary cooled casting mold. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal 2 introduced through a pouring spout 7 is removed of surface slag by a gage 6 and is cooled and solidified in the intermediate cylindrical part 3a between both edges 3b of a water-cooled rotary casting mold 3, then the molten metal is pulled up in the form of a billet 1. The wall thickness of the pulled up billet 8 is made uniform by a non-cooled stationary casting mold 8 which contacts the outside circumference at both edges 3b. The sticking of the billet 1 to the mold 8 is prevented by the outflow of molten slag 9 from a passage 8b to the mold surface 8c. The shaft part 3d of the mold 3 is supported by a shaft retaining spring to prevent the generation of excessive sliding resistance force with the mold 8.

CONSTITUTION:The molten metal 2 poured into the molding space enclosed of the four sides, i.e., a cylindrical part 3a and projecting parts 3b of a rotary casting mold 3 and a stationary casting mold 5b is cooled and solidified by the above-mentioned walls then the molten metal is drawn out as a billet 1 by pinch rolls 6a, 7a. The mold 5b is not cooled and particularly in the stage of casting a material having a high solidifying point, heating elements 4f are embedded in a base 4e to heat positively the mold 5b to prevent solidification of the molten metal 2 from the side of said mold. then the billet 1 begins to grow from the mold 3 side and the growth arrives at the mold 5b wall in the area near the outlet of the mold 5b. The need for a mold belt is thus eliminated and the trouble occuring in the deformation of the stationary mold walls, sticking to the billet, generation of excessive sliding resistance, etc. is eliminated.
