    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indirect lighting system doing away with a complicated work of digging into a ceiling face or the like, without spoiling fine sight, and capable of being easily mounted at a connecting part of walls.
      SOLUTION: The indirect lighting system comprises a light-emitting unit 1 structured of an extension material 2 extended from a wall surface S into a chamber along a ceiling face T, a hanging material 3 hung from an inner chamber side end part of the extension material 2, and a light-emitting panel 4 fitted at a wall surface side of the hanging material 3 with its light-emitting face opposed to the wall surface. Since there is no need of a complicated work such as digging into a ceiling face, it can be easily mounted.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp improved in total luminous flux by efficiently converting ultraviolet rays emitted to a tube end to visible light; and a lighting system.
      SOLUTION: This fluorescent lamp is characterized by comprising: an arc tube 4 with a phosphor film 3 formed on its inside surface; and a stem 8 having support parts 8b supporting electrodes 7, and having phosphor layers 8a each formed on the side of a discharge space of the support part 8b for enclosing the electrodes in the arc tube 4 by sealing them at both ends of the arc tube 4. Since the phosphor layers 8a are formed on the stem 8, luminous flux at the end of the arc tube 4 is increased. Since ultraviolet rays emitted to the tube ends can be efficiently converted to visible light, total luminous flux is increased.
