    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce IGZO (indium gallium zinc oxide) target materials having a high quality and a high relative density by reducing uneven mixing of raw materials with using IGZO as a raw material for producing IGZO target materials.SOLUTION: First, the present invention provides an indium gallium zinc oxide production method in which raw materials comprising indium, gallium and zinc are mixed, dried and calcined and processed in other steps to produce homogenous and highly pure indium gallium zinc oxide. Additionally, the present invention provides a composition for producing indium gallium zinc oxide target materials which is a mixture comprising multielement metal oxides and comprising particularly the indium gallium zinc oxide produced in the prescribed producing method. Moreover, the present invention provides: a method for producing the indium gallium zinc oxide target materials, which comprise InGaZnOas a main ingredient substantially without ZnGaO, from the prescribed indium gallium zinc oxide; and the products thereby.
