    • PURPOSE:To provide a water treatment device which prevents and eliminates the formation of concentration distribution of immobilizing carriers in biological reaction tanks, transferring easily the immobilizing carriers from the biological reaction tanks and storing the same without damaging their activities. CONSTITUTION:This water treatment device consists of a plurality of systems of biological tanks in which anoxic tanks 6, aerobic tanks containing microbe immobilizing carriers and immobilizing carrier separators 8 connected together successively and line 10 for circulating outflow liquid from the aerobic tanks into the anoxic tanks are formed. Gas-liquid mixture transferring means 4 are disposed at the ends of respective aerobic tanks 7, and lines 14 for transferring the outflow liquid from the ends of aerobic tanks to the immobilizing carrier separators 8 and/or aerobic tanks on separate systems are formed. Also lines 16 for returning the immobilizing carriers by the immobilizing carrier separators to the ends of aerobic tanks and lines 17 for circulating the liquid passing through the immobilizing carrier separators to the anoxic tanks are formed.

    • PURPOSE:To enable not only the removal of an org. component but also the removal of chromaticity not inferior to that at a time of the use of activated carbon by adding coffee extract grounds preliminarily subjected to drying treatment, carbonizing treatment or chemical treatment to an aeration tank when waste water is subjected to activated sludge treatment. CONSTITUTION:Coffee extract grounds are dried for 3hr or more, for example, at 110 deg.C or lower by hot air drying or air drying or carbonized, for example, at 900 deg.C or lower for 10hr or less. In chemical treatment, an alkali agent or an oxidizing agent is used. By applying these treatments, the color component removing capacity as powdery activated carbon is obtained and the sedimentation properties in a final sedimentation basin are excellent and the quality of treated water is stable. Further, waste water is inexpensively treated without damaging sewage dehydrating properties.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent deodorization effect by adding a chemical essentiallty consisting of a deriv. of the isocyanuric acid expressed by a specific general formula to a deodorant in the case of deodorization of the malodors, such as hydrogen sulfide and mercaptan, generated from sludge, etc., generated in a sewage treatment. CONSTITUTION:The dehydrated cake obtd. by subjecting sewage, exxrement and org. industrial waste water to physical and biological treatment and dehydrating the generated sludge with a dehydrating machine, such as centrifugal separatior or filter press, is disposed by reclamation or incineration. The chemical essentially consisting of the compd. expressed by the separately described general formula is added to the cake in the case of deodorization of the malodors generated by leaving such dehydrated cake in an anaerobic state and the deodorization is exexuted by making treatment in such manner that the cake is agitated at a slow speed (about 10 to 50rpm) and for a long period of time (about 0.25 to 24 hours). In the formula, each of R1 to R3 denotes, Na, k, halogen, halogen alkyl. The deodorant is added and used at a ratio of about 100 to 800mg/l of the sludge.
