    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified soft water generator which has a relatively long regenerative cycle even when used for a method where tap water is poured from the top and discharged from the bottom.
      SOLUTION: An inner bottom plate through which a number of through holes are penetrated is installed in a cylindrical body container. A plurality of small-diameter round bars are installed upright from the inner bottom plate at predetermined intervals. A water pipe is installed which opens in the center of the upper part of the body container, and a discharge port is penetrated through a double bottom to get filled with an ion exchange resin so as to bury a plurality of the small-diameter round bars. Tap water sprayed onto the ion exchange resin from the water pipe is supplied throughout the ion exchange resin by the small-diameter round bars to be ion-exchanged, and the treated water after the ion exchange is discharged from the discharge port.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce scaling on the side surface of a metal plate while stabilizing the generation of metal ions to enhance the bactericidal and algicidal power of water and to reduce the number of times of maintenance or cost by forming one end part facing to the upstream direction of a flow channel of the metal plate into an almost semicircular shape in its cross section. SOLUTION: A plurality of the metal plates 4 arranged to an ion generator 16 are combined as one set and suspended from a horizontal plate 2 so as to be opposed to each other at a constant interval. The front end part 4b of each metal plate 4, that is, the end part on the side facing to a suction port 1a thereof and the rear end part 4c thereof, that is, the end part on the side facing to a discharge port 1b thereof are formed into an almost semicircular shape in cross section. By this constitution, the flow of water flowing in from the suction port 1a is guided smoothly by the curved surfaces of the front end parts 4b of the metal plates 4 and allowed to flow orderly along the side surface parts 4d continuing to the curved surfaces. Therefore, th adhesion of scale 6 to the side surface parts 4d can be suppressed and ions can be stably supplied over a long period of time and maintenance for removing scale can be reduced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for chrome plating which is used even in high current density without using lead or lead alloy, and to provide a chrome plating method and apparatus using the same.
      SOLUTION: A hybrid electrode 1 possesses a catalytic electrode element 2 having a catalytic function of converting 3-valent chrome to 6-valent chrome and a perforated electrode element 3 having a function of branching a part of plating current and having a circulation hole through which a plating solution flows, wherein the perforated electrode element 3 is arranged in the surface side having a catalytic function of the catalytic electrode element 2. The chrome plating method and a chrome plating apparatus use the hybrid electrode 1. The plating is carried out at high current density to increase the production efficiency because a part of the plating current is branched by the perforated electrode element 3 and the plating solution freely flows through the circulation hole of the perforated electrode element 3.
