摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit having a simple structure, capable of easily securing freedom of the arrangement of an LED light source, achieving uniform brightness of a display part, achieving a smaller and thinner display unit, and reducing the cost.SOLUTION: The display unit is surrounded by at least a light diffusion part composing a bottom, a display part composing a top surface, and sidewalls. At least one of the LED light source or a support structure including the LED light source is arranged according to a position display part provided at an appropriate position of the light diffusion part. The light emission part of the LED light source is brought into contact with the light diffusion part, or the light emission part of the LED light source is inserted into the light diffusion part with the light emission part facing downward. This structure causes the light diffusion part to diffuse light of the LED light source to at least illuminate the display part.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, though a height of a side wall can be set lower by using a recently developed thin backlight and the side wall can be produced by cutting of resin with respect to an illuminated cut-out character of which the back of a top plate formed into a character or a figure is surrounded with the side wall and a bottom plate and which has a light source housed therein, and the resin side wall has the disadvantage that it is required to be cut thickly for maintaining a strength to lead to the reduction of illuminance in a junction part between the top plate and the side wall.SOLUTION: The side wall is cut thinly in a top plate junction part and thickly in a bottom plate junction part to secure a required strength while minimizing the reduction of illuminance in the junction part between the top plate and the side wall. In particular, an inner surface of the side wall is formed into a slope not to leave a corner part on the inside of the side wall uncut, whereby a high definition illuminated cut-out character where the uniformity of brightness is ensured throughout the top plate is achieved.
