摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic warp knitted fabric having large elongations and a strong fastening power well balanced between the warp direction and the weft direction, and little in hysteresis. SOLUTION: This elastic warp knitted fabric is produced by inserting or interknitting an elastic yarn into a ground fabric prepared by knitting a synthetic fiber multifilament and/or cotton yarn. The elastic yarn is inserted or interknitted with a swing width of 4 needles or 5 needles in the weft direction. The elastic yarn is preferably a multifilament. A knitted fabric texture which is knitted using three reeds, especially a 6-course satin is useful and widely used. This knitted fabric texture is suitable as a knitted fabric for a sport wear, an inner wear or the like which can correct the shape of body of the wearer and follow the move in any direction without having directionality.

SOLUTION: This stretchable warp knitted cloth consists of a main knitted part 1 and a power-strengthened knitted part 2, and the main knitted part and the power-strengthened knitted part are integrally knitted. The tightening power of the power-strengthened knitted part is at least 1.5 times that of the main knitted part, and the cloth is knitted by making the density of courses in the main knitted part and that in the power-strengthened knitted part even to each other. The densities of courses can be arranged by adjusting the runners of non-elastic yarns in both the knitted parts and/or those of elastic yarns in both the knitted parts. The cloth is suitable as an inner wear for women, etc., since this is excellent in wearability and fashionability, and advantageous in its cost.
