    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect cellulose acylate efficiently from a polarizing plate. SOLUTION: The process includes the steps of cutting a surplus sheet 5 by a crusher 27 to produce a double layer chip 12; making the double layer chip 12 in contact with an absorption liquid 308 using an absorption apparatus 28; absorbing the absorption liquid 308 into a contact layer of the double layer chip 12 to obtain a liquid absorption chip 14 from a double layer chip 12; making an adhesive layer, which has fully absorbed the absorption liquid 308, in contact with a decomposition liquid 309 using a decomposition apparatus 29, so that the decomposition liquid 309 is absorbed into the adhesive layer through the absorption liquid 308; decomposing the adhesive layer by the decomposition liquid 309 absorbed by the adhesive layer to obtain a residual chip 16 from a liquid absorption chip 14 as a result of this decomposition reaction; removing a solution adhered to and remaining on the residual chip 16 using a cleaning polishing apparatus 30, which turns the residual chip 16 into a TAC chip 18.
