    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity for performing complicated fine re-adjustment in a use state supporting a sound piece in a fixed state, by supporting the sound piece of a piezoelectric double-resonator by an orthogonal support system. CONSTITUTION:The sound piece of a piezoelectric double-resonator is supported by at least two wires extending so as to be respectively almost vertical to an outer peripheral surface and the other peripheral surface respectively symmetric with respect to the axis in a longitudinal direction. As a result, support impedance equally acts on an exciting vibration mode f1x and an exciting vibration mode f1y in directions crossing to each other at a right angle and the vibration frequencies f1x, f1y of the exciting mode f1x and the exciting mode f1y in an operation state planned in a non-support state are respectively shifted by a certain equal value DELTA toward high frequency to be brought to f1x+DELTA and f1y+DELTA and, therefore, the difference between both of them becomes (f1x+DELTA)-(f1y+DELTA)=f1x-f1y and is kept equal and constant at the times of planning and use and re-adjustment is unnecessary even at the time of use after fixing and supporting it.

    • PURPOSE:To measure the electron spin resonance and nuclear magnetic resonance of a sample which is large in volume by covering the slit of a resonance loop with the combined body of plural arcuate conductive material shield members and preventing an electric field from entering the loop, and making an electric field produced in the cylindrical resonance loop as small as possible. CONSTITUTION:A loop gap cavity resonator consists of the cylindrical resonance loop 1 made of a conductive material and a slit 2 formed by cutting the loop 1 to constant width in the direction of the center axis, and the cylindrical cavity 3 is shielded entirely. Then, an arcuate conductive material shield members 6 is arranged on the internal surface of the loop 1 while covering the slit 2, thereby shielding the slit 2 from inside. Other arcuate conductive material shield members 8 which are arranged on the same circumference with the shield member 6 at mutual intervals are insulated from the loop 1 by an insulating spacer 7 as well as the shield member 6. Consequently, a microwave magnetic field is applied to the sample with higher efficiency than before and a necessary measurement is taken efficiently.
