    • PURPOSE:To provide the titled furnace reduced in fuel cost and enabled in severe temp. control, constituted from such a structure that a burner heating means inexpensive in fuel cost is used when the temp. of a material is raised to rapidly raise the temp. of said material and switched to an electric heating means capable of carrying out the accurate control of a temp. during uniform heating. When the temp. of the treating material W reaches a uniform heating state, a change-over switch 14 is operated by the change-over signal of a monitor switch 9 while the supply of fuel is stopped and the treating material W is uniformly heated by an electric heating means 6.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the adverse effect to the invasion of outer air from gap at the ordinary time and to the furnace gas to the outer part by always closing each gap formed between a rotary drum having the projecting part to out of the furnace and opening holes at the furnace side part, and an opening hole at the furnace bottom part and opening only at the time of changing rollers for supporting a metallic strip arranged to the rotary drum. SOLUTION: Both end parts of the rotary drum 2 arranging two rotatable rollers 1a, 1b for supporting in the longitudinal direction on the periphery in equal interval, are supported by projecting from the side part opening holes 4 arranged at the furnace side wall and also, the gaps α1 between the side part opening holes and the rotary drum 2 can be sealed with the first saeling mechanism 5 arranged so as to be elevatable/lowerable to the furnace side wall. On the other hand, the gap between almost lower half part of the rotary drum 2 projected from the bottom part opening hole and the bottom part opening hole can be sealed with the second sealing mechanism 8 arranged so as to be openable from the lower part of the furnace hearth. Only at the time of changing the roller for supporting positioned in the furnace to the roller for supporting positioned at out of the furnace, both sealing mechanisms are opened to rotate the rotary drum.

    • PURPOSE:To perform continuous heat treatment of a metallic strip with excellent thermal efficiency by passing the metallic strip through a continuous heat treating furnace from the preheating and precooling zone thereof to the heating and soaking zone thereof and further passing the strip back and forth in the preheating and precooling zone. CONSTITUTION:A heat treating furnace 2 to be used for subjecting continuously a long-sized metallic strip W to a heat treatment such as annealing or the like is segmented to a preheating and precooling zone 4 and a heating and soaking zone 5. The strip W is passed through a U-shaped conveying path P in the direction of arrow by an upsetting roll 13. The strip W is first preheated in the lower part of a preheating and precooling chamber 11 by the sensible heat of the heat- treated strip W passing in the upper part. The strip is then heated by a heater 18 in the lower heating chamber 8 of the zone 5 and is soaked in an upper soaking chamber 9 of the zone 5 by the roll 13. The lower metallic strip is again preheated thereafter by a heat exchange in the chamber 11 and the strip itself is precooled. The metallic strip is continuously heat-treated with high thermal efficiency without releasing the heat in the furnace to the outside.

    • PURPOSE: To perfectly prevent the oxidation of treating materials during preheating by providing heat exchangers to a waste gas aggregating duct and a preheating zone, placing a heat medium ciculating system therebetween and indirectly heating the preheating zone by the heat retained by the waste gases of radiant tubes.
      CONSTITUTION: In a radiant tube type continuous heat treatment furnace having a preheating zone 3, the 1st heat exchanger 10 is provided en route of a waste gas aggregating duct 5 and the 2nd heat exchanger 11 in a duct 8. Both heat exchangers 10, 11 are connected by a heat medium circulation system 12. Hence, the treating material W passing through a heating zone 2 and a soaking zone 1 is heated and soaked by the radiation heat of radiant tubes 4, and high temp. waste gases are concentrated at the duct 5 by a fan 6 and pass through the 1st heat exchanger 10. At this time, the heat medium is heated by the heat retained by the waste gases, and heat medium releases heat in the 2nd heat exchanger 11 to heat the atomospheric gas in the duct 8, thereby preheating the material W. Liquid is used for the heat medium.
