    • PURPOSE: To omit or simplify welding operation and to improve the sealing working efficiency of a container and remote working efficiency on packing by providing a container body where an counter taper hole is formed and, for example, an upper lid for sealing inside by baking and engaging itself to a reverse tapered hole. CONSTITUTION: The upper portion of a container body 2A is heated and inflated by an induction heating coil 25, the aperture of an upper opening 21 is increased as compared with the outer diameter of an upper lid 2B, and the lid 2B is inserted into a reverse tapered hole 22 and is supported by an upper stage part 23. After heating by the coil 25 stops, the body 2A thermally shrinks due to natural cooling and the aperture of the opening 21 decreases. Then, the lid 2B is baked and engaged to the hole 22 in close joint state, the inside of the body 2A is sealed, the pull-out of the lid 2B is prevented by the hole 22, and the opening 21 is blocked by the lid 2B in sealed state. Also, a seal welding part is formed at the joint part between the opening 21 of the body 2A and the outer-edge part of the lid 2B to improve sealing property. A radioactive waste storage body for stratum disposal where overpacking is executed is buried into a disposal hole for stratum disposal.

    • PURPOSE:To avoid a concentration of the stress on a weld zone to require a seal and to improve the strength of the weld zone and the safety by fitting a strap plate to cover a welded joint of base metals on step parts formed to clad layers and welding an indentation part between a side part of the strap plate and the step parts. CONSTITUTION:A part of the tip of the clad layers 1 such as titanium, etc., is removed to form the step parts 8 and a welding groove is formed with the 2nd step part with the base metals exposed on the tip of the step parts 8. After the welded joint to connect the base metals mutually by the welding groove is formed, filler metal 11 consisting of titanium, etc., is mounted on the welded joint and the 2nd step part to cover these and next, an interval between the filler metal 11 and thin clad layers 9 is tack-welded and afterward, the strap plate 12 consisting of titanium, etc., is mounted on the 1st step parts 8 and the filler metal 11. Then, the butt-welding is performed by the indentation part formed between the side part of the strap part 12 and the 1st step parts 8 which is connected in a plane state with the surface of the clad layers 1 to avoid the concentration of the stress on the weld part.

    • PURPOSE:To improve mechanical strength of a multi-layer cylinder by lapping plural different length metal plates each other, forming a laminated plate obtained by welding ends of the plates into a cylinder, inserting a metal plate between both mating faces, and welding the metal plates to fix. CONSTITUTION:Plural metal plates 1A, 1B, and 1C are lapped in order of their length so that the end of the plates tiers and an integrally laminated metal plate 2 is obtained by welding around the ends. The laminated metal plate 2 is rounded into a cylinder with the metal plate 1A inside. The mating faces of the plate 1A are welded 6 to form a cylinder of the 1st layer. An integrated member of an inserting metal plate 1b with a leakage detecting tube 4 is inserted into a facing part of the 2nd layer, and the end of the plate 1B and the mating face of the inserting plate 1b are welded. An inserting metal plate 1C is put on the leakage detecting tube 4 and the mating faces of the 3rd layer are welded integrally. By this method, the interface between every two layers is made to be in a close contact condition, so that the pressure proof performance of the multi-layer cylinder is improved.
