摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily attach an outer wall at the shell where the space between inner wall and the outer wall is especially narrow by large-sizing the vessel without thickening the plate. SOLUTION: Outside an inner wall 8, ribs 10 are arranged in vertical direction and horizontal direction and fixed in grid shape. In accordance with the grid shape ribs 10, the outer wall 9 is made with square shape plates 9a. By inserting the square shape plates 9a along the outer edge parts of the grid shape ribs 10 and fixing the plates 9a to the ribs 10, the outer wall 9 is attached to the inner wall 8. As the outer wall 9 is made square shape plates 9a to attach to the ribs 10, the attachment of the outer wall 9 can be made easily.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high radiation resisting performance and hold a stable high heat insulating performance without generating an internal stress by providing a cooling pipe mounted on a heat shield unit and an attachable and detachable connecting connector connected adjacently thereto, and constituting the heat shield unit, a cover plate and a cooling device in such a manner as to be thermally contractible. SOLUTION: A cooling device 14 is formed of a cooling pipe 15 for carrying a coolant which is mounted on a heat shield unit 20 and an attachable and detachable connecting connector 16 adjacent thereto. The heat shield unit 20 is formed of a heat shield plate 22 on which the cooling pipe 15 is directly mounted, and a multilayer reflecting plate situated on a cryostat 1 side. The heat shield plate 22 is mounted on the cryostat 1 side by supports 25, 26. The upper support 25 is constituted so as to have large vertical rigidity so as to support the whole weight of the unit 20 and be capable of following thermal contraction. The lower unit 26 has a role of holding the space between the unit 20 and the cryostat 1, and both the supports 25, 26 are made of titanium alloy.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a making method of a vacuum vessel for a nuclear fusion reactor, good in accuracy, causing no deformation, and enabling making processes and work time to be abridged. SOLUTION: A plurality of vacuum vessel sectors are made, and a binding jig for deformation prevention is attached to each of the vacuum vessel sectors while a raising frame is attached thereto. The vacuum vessel sectors are each raised by lifting the raising frame with a crane, and positional adjustment and fitting-up are conducted between a vacuum vessel sector serving as a reference and a neighboring vacuum vessel sector. After that, outer walls of the vacuum vessel sectors are connected together by welding at a job site, splice plates are worked and attached thereto for connecting inner walls of the vacuum vessel sectors, and thereafter the inner walls of the vacuum vessel sectors are connected at the job site. A torous vacuum vessel for a nuclear fusion reactor is completed by repeating such a process for 360 deg. relative to the other vacuum vessel sectors.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enhance mechanical rigidity or shield performance by employing a double wall structure vessel for confining plasma, arranging a plurality of ribs between the double walls, and filling the space between the double walls with a neutron shielding element. CONSTITUTION:The vacuum vessel has a double wall structure of inner and outer walls 10, 11 coupled integrally by means of a plurality of troidal ribs 12 and 13. The space defined by the inner and outer walls is filled with multiple spherical neutron shielding elements composed of a nonmagnetic material, e.g. an austenite based stainless steel. A plurality of through holes and irregular parts are made in the plate face of each rib 12, 13. Since a thin plate can be employed for the wall 10, 11 without significant sacrifice of overall mechanical rigidity, circumferential electric resistance of the wall itself can be increased in the troidal direction. Since the element 14 has small diameter and a dielectric layer of Al2O3, for example, is applied to the outer surface thereof circumferential resistance of shield layer is increased in the troidal direction and the element 14 can be treated as a dielectric part.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high accuracy assembling by welding the outer wall and a rib with more than one bead using an electron beam and specifying the relationship of the bead width, rib width and the length and plate thickness at an unwelded part thereby suppressing the welding deformation. SOLUTION: The vacuum container is constructed by machining a steel member into a container shape and arranging reinforcing ribs 2 between the inner wall 1 and the outer wall 3. The outer wall 3 and the rib 2 are combined in T-shape and through welding is effected continuously in the longitudinal direction of the rib by projecting an electron beam normally to the outer wall from the outside of the outer wall 3. The welded part between the outer wall 3 and the rib 2 comprises more than one bead and an unwelded part is provided between the welding beads. Corner welding is effected at the end part of rib while setting the total bead width at 25% or more of the rib width and the length of the unwelded part on the outside of bead root at 20% or less of the plate thickness. According to the arrangement, welding deformation is suppressed and highly accurate assembling is realized while withstanding high electromagnetic force due to plasma disruption sufficiently.
