    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal display device which is excellent in productivity and capable of obtaining excellent uniformity of alignment in the full surface of a liquid crystal display panel by providing a stage for interposing ferroelectric polymer liquid crystal from which two separator sheets are stripped between two electrode substrate having transparent electrodes. SOLUTION: A ferroelectric polymer liquid crystal material 3 which is dissolved a solvent to heighten its fluidity is applied on a conductive film 2 of one of the separator sheets 4 by a micro gravure method. An interposing body 6 formed by interposing thus obtained ferroelectric polymer liquid crystal 3 between two separator sheets 4 and 4' is applied with an electric field and a mechanical alignment method to subject the ferroelectric polymer liquid crystal 3 interposed between two separator sheets 4 and 4' to aligning treatment. Then the separator sheets 4 and 4' are stripped from the ferroelectric polymer liquid crystal 3 subjected to the aligning treatment and liquid crystal display panel substrates are stuck to both surface of the ferroelectric polymer liquid crystal 3 so that their transparent electrodes are opposed to each other.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a liquid crystal display device capable of easily forming sealing patterns along the ends of an electrode substrate and preventing the cracking, chipping and seal peeling of this electrode substrate. SOLUTION: The sealing patterns 1 is formed so as to baestride parting lines 4 with respect to three sides exclusive of the side formed with terminals 3. The sealing patterns 1 may be so formed as to bestride the parting lines 4 at the time of applying sealing materials or the sealing patterns 1 may be so formed as to bestride the parting lines 4 after the sealing patterns 1 are thinly spread in a subsequent bonding stage in order to form the sealing patterns 1 bestriding the parting lines 4. The sealing patterns 1 are so formed as not to bestride the parting lines 4 even when the sealing patterns 1 are spread thin in the subsequent bonding stage with respect to the sides where the terminals 3 are formed. Next, a pair of the electrode substrates 2 are bonded to each other. The electrode substrates are then parted along the parting lines 4 by a dicing method using a rotary blade.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the warpage of a plastic substrate by the internal stress of transparent conductive films by forming the transparent conductive films of the same film thickness on both surfaces of the plastic substrate. CONSTITUTION:The transparent conductive films 3 are formed at the same film thickness on both surfaces of the plastic substrate 1 in such a manner that the etching conditions for both surfaces of the plastic substrate 1 are the same and warpage is minimized. Etching liquids are simultaneously showered from both sides of the upper side and the lower side at the time of patterning by a wet etching method or the transparent conductive film 3 on the non- electrode surface side is removed simultaneously with formation of the electrode patterns 4. The film thickness of the transparent conductive film 3 is specified to be >=100nm in this case. This transparent conductive film 3 is preferably an indium tin oxide film. As a result, problem on the transportation defect and sucking defect due to the warpage of the plastic substrate 1 are solved and a non-defective rate is improved.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to reduce the manufacturing cost of liquid crystal display elements and to stably produce the elements with the good flow property of production stages by providing the surface of a base with a UV curing type tacky adhesive for holding an electrode substrate for the liquid crystal display elements. SOLUTION: The jig 1 for producing the liquid crystal display elements (hereafter abbreviated as the jig) is the jig 1 to fluidize the production stages by supporting the electrode substrate 7 for the liquid crystal display elements on its surface. The tacky adhesive layer 3 for holding the substrate 7 stuck to the surface of the jig is composed of the UV curing type tacky adhesive 3 which is cured and lowered in adhesive power when the adhesive is irradiated UV rays. As a result, the production of the liquid crystal display elements by commonly using the conventional liquid crystal display element production line for glass is made possible even if the substrate materials which alone have no strength and rigidity are used. Further, the sufficient tacky adhesive power to the substrate 7 is assured at the time of fluidizing the production stages in the state of sticking the jig to the substrate 7 and simultaneously the substrate 7 is easily peelable from the jig 1 after the end of the production stages.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid crystal display element which is improved in posi tional accuracy, is constituted to eliminate a possibility of mistaking a mounting surface, is high in mounting accuracy to an apparatus and is simple in mounting by forming marks for positioning parts as a part of electrode patterns to be disposed on an electrode substrate. CONSTITUTION:The parts to constitute liquid crystal panels 2 are patterned and formed in the parts on the outer side of a sealing frame to be sealed with liquid crystals where the electrode patterns are not formed in the surface of the electrode substrate at the time of forming the electrode patterns on the electrode substrate consisting of plastic. The marks for forming the positioning parts respectively corresponding to four mounting holes 3, 3, 4, 4 are formed in these parts. As a result, the accuracy of the relative positions of the marks for forming the positioning parts facing the liquid crystal panels 2 is made as high as + or -5mum. The two existing on the diagonal lines of the shapes of the marks for the mounting positions are formed to a triangular shape corresponding to the shape of the mounting holes 3, 3 that is lately formed and the remaining two on the other diagonal lines are formed to a square shape corresponding to the shape of the mounting holes 4, 4.
