    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aviation fuel oil base material originating from an animal and vegetable oil which has a high yield of the aviation fuel oil base material and exhibits excellent low temperature performance. SOLUTION: The method for producing the aviation fuel oil base material includes: a first step of hydrogenating raw oil containing a mixture of two or more kinds of animal and vegetable oil having different fatty acid composition and a sulfur-containing hydrocarbon compound in the presence of hydrogen; and a second step of hydroisomerizing the hydrogenated oil obtained in the first step in the presence of hydrogen. In the mixture of the animal and vegetable oil, the total content of each fatty acid composition having a 9-15C fatty acid carbon chain is 50-70 mass% and the ratio of respective fatty aid compositions having a 11C, a 13C and 15C fatty acid carbon chain is 10-60 when total content of fatty acid composition having a 9-15C fatty acid carbon chain is defined as 100.
