    • PURPOSE:To minimize delay due to obstruction avoiding operation by a method wherein the position feedback signal and the angle commanding signal from an angle detector are inputted into a territory deciding table logical circuit and a forced elevation command is generated in 'YES' zone to effect elevating operation unconditionally. CONSTITUTION:An information on the present position of a gun or a position feedback signal 13a and an information on the angle commanding signal of an angle command 1A from a fire control device 1 are inputted into a territory deciding table logical circuit 20. These two input signals of traversing system and elevating system are inputted simultaneously whereby a data, in which zone of the territory deciding table a gun is positioned, can be obtained. Accordingly, when an obstruction avoiding zone A is existing between the position feedback signal 13a and the commanding angle 1Aa of the angle command 1A at the present position of the gun and the avoiding zone A is in the 'YES' zone, a forced elevation command 22 is added to a second adder and subtractor 6 whereby the added value is impressed immediately on a servomotor 8 and elevating operation is effected unconditionally.

    • PURPOSE:To design the height of a turret, i.e., the height of a vehicle as low as possible effectively and improve the combat performance of a combat vehicle by a method wherein the split forward upper surface section of the turret is received with respect to the rearward upper surface section of the same so as to be capable of effecting the recoiling motion as well as the counterrecoiling motion of the base of a gun barrel and is constituted so as to be the upper surface of the elevating motion of the gun tube. CONSTITUTION:A turret 12 is mounted on a vehicle body 1 and a gun 3, elevatable about a trunnion shaft 4 provided at the fore part of the turret, is mounted on the turret 12. The upper surface section of the turret 12 is split into a rearward upper surface section and a forward upper surface section while the forward upper surface section receives the base of a gun tube so as to be capable of effecting the recoiling motion and the counterrecoiling motion of the base section 5 of the gun barrel and is constituted so as to be the upper surface 15 of the elevating motion effected about the trunnion shaft 4. The length of the upper surface 15 of the elevating motion is secured so as to permit the recoiling and counterrecoiling motions between the position of counterrecoil 3a and the position of recoil 3 and a space between the base section 5 of the gun barrel and the upper surface 15 of the elevating motion is minimized in order to permit the elevating motion of the gun. The height of the rearward upper surface section 13 of the turret 12 is designed so as to be low regardless of the elevating motion of the gun barrel and, therefore, a vertical size (a') between the trunnion shaft 4 and the upper surface of the turret 12 is shortened remarkably when the gun 3 is elevated.
