In proportion to the color distribution, the size of each opening is determined.

A liquid crystal display apparatus includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a touch sensor(20), a gap maintaining area(30), and a sensing area(40). The first substrate has an image display element. The second substrate has a plurality of column spacers. The liquid crystal layer is injected between the first substrate and the second substrate. The touch sensor operates by compressing the second substrate. The gap maintaining area is coupled with the column spacer to maintain the gap between the first substrate and the second substrate. The sensing area is formed on a lower area than the gap maintaining area. The touch sensor performs sensing on the sensing area.

The shielding electrode encircles the pixel electrode so that the boundary between the shielding electrode and the pixel electrode overlaps the boundary between a signal transmission region(150) and the pixel region. The shielding electrode is disposed to protrude more than the pixel electrode. As the result, a strong electric field is formed between an opposite substrate and a common electrode to prevent liquid crystal from being disturbed between neighboring pixel electrodes.

A pixel electrode(290) is formed on the lower substrate to form an electric field together with the common electrode. The TFT(Thin Film Transistor) is connected with the pixel electrode.
