摘要： Systems for enabling delivery of very high peak power laser pulses through optical fibers for use in ablation procedures preferably in contact mode. Such lasers advantageously emit at 355 nm wavelength. Other systems enable selective removal of undesired tissue within a blood vessel, while minimizing the risk of damaging the blood vessel itself, based on the use of the ablative properties of short laser pulses of 320 to 400 nm laser wavelength, with selected parameters of the mechanical walls of the tubes constituting the catheter, of the laser fluence and of the force that is applied by the catheter on the tissues. Additionally, a novel method of calibrating such catheters is disclosed, which also enables real time monitoring of the ablation process. Additionally, novel methods of protecting the fibers exit facets are disclosed.

摘要： A method for reconfiguration of a vortex density in a rare earth manganate, to a non-volatile impedance switch having reconfigurable impedance, and to the use thereof as micro-inductance is disclosed. A unique voltage-time profile is applied between a first and a second electrically conductive contact attached to the rare earth manganate, such that the rare earth manganate passes through an ordering temperature in a region of an electric field forming between the two electrically conductive contacts during a cooling process during and after application of the voltage pulse or the voltage ramp, and the vortex density is thus influenced and adjusted locally in the region of the electric field forming between the two electrically conductive contacts.

Executing the instruction includes determining, by a processor, that an address translation protection bit in a specified translation table entry associated with a storage block is to be reset. Based on determining that the address translation protection bit is to be reset, executing the instruction includes resetting the address translation protection bit to deactivate write protection for the storage block. The resetting is absent waiting for an action by one or more other processors of the computing environment.

摘要： A method for use in manufacturing a fuel cell stack includes assembling a membrane electrode assembly to have a membrane between a first gas diffusion layer and a second gas diffusion layer. A bypass blocker is located at a space between a first gas diffusion layer of the membrane electrode assembly and a seal. The blocker is deformed on the seal and deformation is avoided of the blocker at the space such that the blocker inhibits a bypass flow of a reactant through the space between the gas diffusion layer and the seal in a direction of flow of the reactant during operation of the fuel cell. The membrane electrode assembly is located between a first fluid flow plate and a second fluid flow plate.
