摘要： The invention relates to a treatment article and a method for treating a fabric by delivering one or more powdered benefit agents to a fabric in a tumble dryer and thus providing at least one fabric benefit such as sanitization and/or disinfection, whitening and/or stain removal to the fabric during the tumble drying process. The treatment article functions to dispense at least one powdered benefit agent to the fabric by means of a diffusing membrane having an average pore diameter such that the tumbling and/or heating action provided during the tumble drying process results in the delivery of an oxidant material in the form of a powdered benefit agent to the initially damp or wet fabric to provide at least one primary fabric benefit to the treated fabric. Optionally, a second and/or third benefit agent may additionally be included in the treatment article for simultaneous delivery of one or more additional fabric benefits. The invention also relates to a treatment kit employing a treatment article with instructions for the effective delivery of one or more fabric benefits to a fabric during a tumble drying process.

摘要： Electrical separators for batteries, especially lithium batteries, having a shutdown mechanism. A process for their production. An electrical separator is used in batteries and other systems in which electrodes have to be separated from each other while maintaining ion conductivity. Safety is very important in lithium batteries, since in contrast to other types of battery (Pb, NiCd, NiMeH) the solvent for the electrolyte is not water but a combustible solvent. A separator for lithium cells must possess a shutdown mechanism while not being able to melt down. This is achieved by an electrical separator having a shutdown layer which comprises particles which melt at a desired temperature, close the pores of the separator, and so stop ion flow. Since the separator also comprises a porous inorganic (ceramic) layer on a carrier, the cells cannot melt down as a result of a completely melted separator.

摘要： Additive particles may be employed in sufficient amounts to impart superhydrophobicity to a coating system in which the additive particles are incorporated. The additive particles include carrier microparticles and a dense plurality of nanoparticles adhered to the surfaces of the carrier microparticles (e.g., preferably by electrostatic deposition or covalent bonding). The additive particles are advantageously incorporated into a coating material (e.g., a polymeric material) in amounts sufficient to render a substrate surface superhydrophobic when coated with the coating material. The substrate may be rigid (e.g., glass, ceramic or metal) or flexible (e.g., a polymeric film or sheet or a fabric). In some preferred embodiments, both the microparticle and nanoparticles are formed of silica and are surface treated with a hydrophobic treatment so as to impart superhydrophobic properties thereto. Especially preferred are particles treated with silicone fluid comprised of a polysiloxane and/or a perfluoro silane having between 1 and 40 carbon atoms.

The ceramic particles enhance the friction and/or wear properties of a carbon-carbon composite article made with the impregnated or coated fibers. The impregnated fibers can be, e.g., polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fibers, pitch fibers, and other such fibers as are commonly employed in the manufacture of C—C friction materials. The impregnated fibers can be used to make woven, nonwoven, or random fiber preforms or in other known preform types. Preferred products are brake discs and other components of braking systems. The particles may be included in the fibers by mixing them with the resin employed to make the fibers and/or by applying them to the surfaces of the fibers in a binder.
