摘要： The present invention is a multi-mode combination alarm and locking apparatus for bicycles, motorcycles and the like. The case of the combination alarm and locking apparatus can be attached to a bicycle or the like by a hollow bracket which can detachably mounted to a tubular section of the bicycle frame. In the preferred embodiment the combination alarm and locking apparatus includes a U-bolt lock. In an alternative embodiment the combination alarm and locking apparatus can be used in conjunction with a U-bolt lock. The combination alarm and locking apparatus also has a cable lock which has an elongated flexible cable with a conductive core and is retained by a retractable spool. The spool is releasibly engaged with a releasible rachet mechanism which controls the retraction of the spool. The combination alarm and locking apparatus further provides a multi-mode alarm protection to the bicycle, including the motion detection, the battery compartment door tampering detection and the cable lock continuity detection, all operable with a single key.

摘要： A portable combination anti-theft lock and alarm to prevent the theft or displacement of protected property and comprising a housing, an audible alarm and alarm circuit located within the housing, and a flexible electrically conductive locking cable having a first end that is fixedly attached to the housing and an opposite free end which is detachably connected to the housing. The alarm circuit is adapted to activate the alarm and cause a loud warning signal to be emitted through the housing in the event that either the cable or the housing is vandalized by a thief in an effort to gain access to the protected property. More particularly, the alarm will be activated if the cable is either severed or jumped by a shunt wire. The alarm will also be activated if the housing is cut or a battery cover plate is removed from the housing without properly operating an associated lock assembly.

Two slideably connected shaft members are adjustable for angular placement between the door knob and the floor. A bifurcated yoke and a floor support retain the door brace alarm in position by contact with the door knob and floor. A pivotally mounted alarm housing connected to one of the shaft members houses an alarm retainer which provides for extension adjustment by threaded cooperation with a cavity in the alarm housing. The alarm retainer houses the sound generator and adjusts to position the sound generator in juxtaposition with the door so that it will emit an alarm sound upon impact by the door.
