    • An attachment device (1) for an apparatus (10), which apparatus (10) comprises a fixed cable (2) with a connector (12) at its free end. The attachment device (1) comprises a first plate member (3) and a second plate member (4), which by means of a hinge member (7) are rotatably connected to each other about a hinge axis (5). Hereby, they can rotate between a closed position, in which the plate members (3, 4) lie against each other, and in which the attachment device (1) defines a through-going opening (6) for the cable (2), and an open position, in which the cable (2) can be removed from the attachment device (1). The first plate member (3) comprises a first locking slot (83) and the second plate member (4) comprises a second locking slot (84). The first and second locking slots (83, 84) are aligned in the closed position, whereby a locking member (13) can be inserted through both locking slots (83, 84) and lock the attachment device (2) in the closed position, in which the cable (2) cannot be out pulled through the through-going opening (6). The hinge axis (5) is parallel with the first and second plate members (3, 4) and that the through-going opening (6) is tubular.

    • The invention relates to a lockout box for locking in objects comprising an upwardly open container; and a cover that is pivotably movably fastened to the container via a joint between a closed position and an open position, wherein the cover is provided with a carry handle for the lockout box at its upper side; wherein a plurality of securing openings are provided in the cover and in the container for the attachment of a plurality of locking elements in order to fix the cover to the container in the closed position; and wherein a closure is provided that enables a carrying of the lockout box at the carry handle in the closed position even when locking elements are not hung in. The cover is linearly displaceably attached to the joint via an adjustment mechanism between a retracted position and an extended position. The closure comprises that, at the side disposed opposite the joint, the cover has a closure part having an engagement section that engages into a closure receiver of the container in the closed position when the cover adopts the retracted position, with the engagement being released when the cover adopts the extended position. The engagement section and the closure receiver are configured such that, in the closed position, they prevent a displacement of the cover from the retracted position into the extended position by means of a form fit when the cover is raised with respect to the container.

    • A road freight transport security system for a vehicle, is described, which comprises a database; and a portable electronic device running a security application. The security application is configured to prompt a user to carry out a plurality of external security checks of the vehicle, provide a facility for the user to confirm completion of those checks, provide a facility for the user to associate one or more photographs, taken by the portable electronic device, with one or more of the checks, and to upload log data to the database, the log data indicating at least a date and time of completion of the checks. A sensor device is also provided, mounted within a freight area of the vehicle, having one or more sensors, and being operable to communicate an alert to the portable electronic device in the event that an anomaly is detected inside the freight area. In this way, real time detection of security breaches within a freight trailer or container may be achieved. The driver is not required to engage directly with an intruder, and is facilitated in reporting the crime and demonstrating that appropriate precautions had been taken. Accordingly, driver safety may be improved and freight thefts and or losses via contamination reduced.
