    • The invention provides a dielectric filter, comprising: a dielectric block having substantially rectangular shape, said dielectric block including a first and a second opposed to each other and a third and a fourth opposed to each other and extending between said first and second surfaces; a plurality of through holes extending between said first and second surfaces; an inner conductor provided on an inner surface of said through holes except for a non-conductive portion, said non-conductive portion being disposed on said inner surface of said through holes in the vicinity of said first surface of said dielectric block; an outer conductor provided on said third and fourth surfaces of said dielectric block; and a line conductor provided on said first surface of said dielectric block, a part of said outer conductor provided on said third surface of said dielectric block and a part of said outer conductor provided on said fourth surface of said dielectric block being connected to each other via said line conductor; thereby a plurality of resonators comprising a combination of a TEM mode resonator and a TE mode resonator, and a combination of a TEM mode resonator or a TM mode resonator being provided.

    • A multilayer dielectric evanescent mode waveguide bandpass filter with resonators utilizing via hole technology is capable of achieving very narrow bandwidths with minimal insertion loss and high selectivity at microwave frequencies is provided. The resonators may also be used as feed posts. A typical implementation of this filter is fabricated with soft substrate multilayer dielectrics with high dielectric constant ceramics. This filter typically takes up less space than other filters presently available. A typical implementation operates at a center frequency of 1 GHz, although other center frequencies, such as approximately 0.5 GHz to approximately 60 GHz, are achievable. The perimeter of the filter may be defined by via holes or plated slots.

    • The invention provides a dielectric filter, comprising: a dielectric block having a first end surface and a second end surface opposite to said first end surface; a plurality of resonator holes passing through from said first end surface to said second end surface of said dielectric block; an inner conductor provided on an inner surface of said resonator holes; and an outer conductor provided on an outside surface of said dielectric block; wherein said first end surface of said dielectric block constitutes a short-circuit end surface; said short-circuit end surface includes an inside portion including ends of said resonator holes adjacent to each other and an outside portion provided around said inside portion; said inside portion is electrically separated from said outside portion by a non-conducting portion substantially encircling said inside portion; and said inside portion is connected to said outside portion by a microinductance generating means.According to this dielectric filter, it is possible to easily adjust the coupling between adjacent dielectric resonators without altering the configuration and dimensions of a dielectric block.

    • The present invention relates to a microwave filter, having U-type resonators, which passes a desired frequency signal and removes an undesired frequency signal when used in a high frequency antenna circuit for wireless communication systems. In accordance with the trend of reducing communication system terminals, it is required to reduce a high frequency filter. The high frequency filter is required to attenuate signals very sharply at the stop band especially near to a passband transmitting and receiving frequency, so as to improve the efficiency of the frequency. The filter may be reduced in weight by forming U-type resonators instead of straight-type resonators. Excellent attenuation characteristics may be achieved at the stop band lower than the passband, using the difference of the characteristic impedance between the open end portion and the shorted portion of the resonator by forming the coupling control grooves at the outer walls of the dielectric block.
