    • An electrical installation device for fastening in an attachment position on a carrier rail includes an instrument housing made of insulating plastic and having an instrument housing wall and a bottom facing the carrier rail in an attachment position. A sliding latch is shaped in one piece to the instrument housing wall and is movable in a locking direction outside of the housing bottom transversely to the attachment direction and to the carrier rail direction. A flexible web, spring elastic in the locking direction, is connected between the sliding latch and the instrument housing wall. A detent lug is attached to the sliding latch and, in the locking direction, grips behind the carrier rail. An actuating end is connected to the flexible web and faces away from the detent lug, whereby the sliding latch is returnable against the spring elasticity of the flexible web from a locked position into a release position by actuation of the actuating end. A longitudinal guide is attached to the instrument housing wall, wherein the sliding latch is guided in the longitudinal guide between the detent lug and the flexible web.

    • An apparatus for detachably fastening an equipment housing to a profile rail, preferably a top-hat rail mounted on a wall or bottom surface, includes guide strips. At least one clamp part slides on the guide strips and engages the profile rail in a clamping position like a tong. The at least one clamp part is retained in a clamping position by spring force operating in a given direction and is displaceable into an open position counter to the given direction for loosening. At least one locking part is displaceable relative to an equipment housing and is coupled to the at least one clamp part. The at least one locking part and the at least one clamp part occupy at least two positions defining a mutual spacing. The at least one locking part blocks the at least one clamp part in one of the positions for preventing the at least one clamp part from being displaced into the open position for loosening the equipment housing from the profile rail.

    • A device for attaching components to structures such as DIN track in an electrical panel. Attached to a component with standard fasteners or an adhesive strip is the channel shaped body. Near one end, the channel legs are notched to receive one edge of the track. At the opposite end are tabs for retaining a compression spring. Near the middle of the channel legs are two slots that guide the motion of a sliding jaw. The jaw has two tabs notched to fit the opposite edge of the track. The compression spring forces the sliding jaw toward the other end of the body causing the track edges to be gripped between the opposing sets of notches.

    • An assembly for supporting an electrical terminal housing on a carrier rail is provided, including a pair of slide members connected with a guide portion of the housing for sliding movement between latched and released positions. The thickness of the guide is slightly greater than the thickness of the slide members to define a gap therebetween. Each of the slide members includes a lower hook portion engaging a leg of the carrier rail when the slide members are in the latched position to connect the terminal housing with the rail, and a spring is connected with the slide members for normally biasing the hook portions toward the latched position. A first abutment is connected with the housing and a second abutment is connected with the slide members, the second abutment being normally vertically offset from the first abutment by a distance corrsponding with the thickness of the gap. When the housing is lifted with respect to the slide members, the gap is closed and the first and second abutments are arranged opposite each other to prevent lateral movement of the slide members toward the released positions, thereby to prevent unintentional removal of the terminal housing from the carrier rail.

    • A duct mounting fixture for securing a duct to a generally channel-shaped support section having right angle flanges at distal ends of legs or sidewalls is disclosed. The mounting fixture includes a base plate having an outer surface defining a bearing surface for an endwall of a duct, an aperture for a latch member in a middle zone of the outer surface of the base plate, the latch member extending through an opening in the endwall of the duct and grip the endwall. Two pairs of retaining teeth are disposed on the underside of said base plate and selectively cooperable with right angle flanges on different omega- and G-shaped supports. The pairs of retaining teeth are perpendicular to each other and arranged in a generally rectangular array. Thin deformable webs on the retaining teeth restrain the fixture against inadvertent sliding movement on the support section, and thin deformable webs between the head and shank of the latch member compensate for the thickness of the duct endwall.
