    • An air-cooled heat exchange system includes a heat exchanger and an axial fan assembly. The heat exchanger has a heat exchange surface area. The axial fan assembly has a propeller-type impeller rotatably supported within an annular housing. The annular housing defines an air passageway from an air inlet end of the housing, across the impeller, and to an air outlet end of the housing. Rotation of the impeller within the annular housing causes air to flow into the air inlet end of the housing, along the air passageway, and out the air outlet of the housing. The axial fan assembly also has a wind-turning vane assembly extending beyond the air inlet end of the annular housing.

    • An indirect dry cooling system suitable for steam condensing applications in a power plant Rankine cycle in one embodiment includes an air cooled condenser having a plurality of interconnected modular cooling cells. Each cell comprises a blower and tube bundle assemblies each including inlet headers, outlet headers, and plurality of tubes extending between the headers. In one embodiment, the tube bundle assemblies may be shop fabricated as a unit to form an A-frame or V-frame cell construction The tubes may be finned. Steam circulating in a closed flow loop on the tube side from a steam turbine is cooled in each cell by ambient air blown through the tube bundles, thereby forming liquid condensate. The condensate is collected and returned to the Rankine cycle for reheating to form steam to drive the turbine.

    • In a coolant condenser assembly for a motor vehicle air conditioning system, comprising cooling pipes for conducting a coolant through, two collecting pipes for fluidically connecting the cooling pipes, a collecting container with an upper cover wall and a lower bottom wall and a side wall as well as with an inlet opening for conducting the coolant into the collecting container and an outlet opening for conducting the coolant out of the collecting container, with the result that through the inlet and outlet openings the collecting container is fluidically connected to the collecting pipe and/or the cooling pipes, the collecting container comprises an outlet chamber and a riser pipe, and the outlet opening opens into the outlet chamber, and the outlet chamber is connected to the riser pipe and a storage chamber for the coolant is formed within the collecting container and outside the outlet chamber and outside the riser pipe, the collecting container preferably has an inlet chamber and a downpipe, and the inlet opening opens into the inlet chamber and the inlet chamber is connected to the downpipe and the storage chamber is formed outside the inlet chamber and outside the downpipe, the cooling pipes have a superheating region for cooling the vaporous coolant, a condensation region for condensing the coolant and a supercooling region for cooling the liquid coolant, wherein the supercooling region is formed above the superheating region and above the condensation region, the intention is that little coolant will be present in flow spaces in the collecting container. This object is achieved in that the height of the storage chamber is greater than the distance between the lower floor wall and the inlet and/or outlet openings.
