    • A lever switch includes a case, a lever, a wiring board, a sliding body, and a movable contact. The wiring board has fixed contacts and is disposed at an opposite side to the lever with respect to the case. The sliding body has a sliding part and a second arm part having a supporting portion, and is disposed between the case and the wiring board. The movable contact is mounted to the sliding part and has an end to be brought into contact with the fixed contact. A first arm part of the lever extends from the main body part through the case and the wiring board. The second arm part extends from the wiring board through the sliding part. The holding portion and the supporting portion are engaged with each other at an opposite side to the case with respect to the wiring board.

    • The present invention relates to an improvement made on the structure of a switch manipulator for a liquid-crystal display apparatus. In a liquid-crystal display apparatus includes a liquid-crystal display unit accommodating a liquid-crystal panel and switches used to control the operation of the liquid-crystal display unit are stowed in a case, and at least an image display unit and a switch manipulator used to manipulate the switches are located on the face of the case, the switch manipulator includes at least two switches, the switches are separated from each other, a manipulation button is placed over the separated switches, and first and second button pressers are located near both ends of the manipulation button with substantially the center of said manipulation button as a fulcrum. When the manipulation button is pressed, one of the two switches is selectively turned on or off by the first or second button presser. According to the present invention, the manipulation button has a seesaw structure utilizing a distorting force and returning force exerted by the switch manipulator itself. Thus, a switch manipulator having a mechanism in which gaps can be set easily and which can exert a stable returning force and enable efficient mass-production at low cost and easy maintenance, and offering excellent operability can be provided.

    • An electrical rocker type wall switch capable of single, duplex and triplex configurations incorporates one or more slightly concave manually depressible rockers. These rockers have a relatively short range of motion from their respective on to off positions. The edges of the rocker lie substantially flush with the switch cover when in either of their on or off positions. Switching is actuated by an actuating arm attached to the rocker moving a contact on the end of a movable brush arm in and out of electrical contact with a fixed contact on the end of a contact arm attached to a fixed terminal. One or more brush arms extend from a fixed brush backplate and are formed so as to be resilient. Switch toggling is achieved by using a toggle spring, held in place on the end of a toggle arm, which is compressed during the first half of travel of the rocker from its resting position and expands as the rocker crosses its midway point toward the second half of travel to its resting position on the other side of the switch. The toggle spring sits centrally over a spring pivot which has two spring stops on either side of it to support the toggle spring at the on and off position of the rocker.

    • A toggle switch handle for a toggle switch mounted to the dash of a truck consists in substantial part essentially of a resilient bendable material. The switch is generally spatulate in shape with a base, a distal end, rounded side edges and recessed or concave major opposed surfaces. The handle is elongated with a longitudinal axis. The handle has a stiffness in bending in response to a force applied at the distal end of the handle and in a direction perpendicular to longitudinal axis from twenty-five pounds to thirty pounds per inch at seventy-five degrees Fahrenheit and most preferably twenty-eight pounds per inch. The handle may be of an elastomeric material of a durometer of from 85 to 95, and most preferably about 90, on the Shore A scale measured at seventy-three degrees Fahrenheit. The handle is coupled to switch components by a lever. The extent to which the lever projects into the base of the handle is limited so that the lever has a minimal impact on the bendability of the toggle switch handle. During impact, such as may arise during a collision, the toggle switch handle bends to absorb shock arising from impact against the handle during the collision.
