摘要： A plug connector includes a mating tongue defining top and bottom surfaces thereon. Each surface is provided with a plurality of conductors in one row wherein the characters/categories of the conductors on the top surface are sequentially arranged to be same with those on the bottom surface with a pair of power conductors in two notches at two lateral side edges. The corresponding receptacle connector mounted upon a printed circuit board, defines a receiving cavity to receive the mating tongue therein. Opposite top and bottom rows of contacts are respectively located by upper and bottom sides of the receiving cavity and categorized essentially in a same sequence with the conductors of the plug connector for respectively connecting to the corresponding conductive pads, respectively. A pair of power contacts are located by two lateral sides of the receiving cavity to couple to the corresponding power conductor portions in the notches.

The corresponding receptacle connector defines a receiving cavity to receive the mating tongue of the plug connector. The plug connector defines a V-Bus clip surrounding the mating tongue for power transfer and the receptacle connector includes a pair of deflectable power contacts by two sides of the receiving cavity.

On a first connection side for connection to a connection partner, the ground contacts are arranged on both sides of each pair of signal contacts so that a contact array of a fixed pitch is formed. On a second connection side for connection to a board, the ground contacts are arranged spaced apart from each other in a first row, while the pairs of signal contacts, which are adjacently arranged on both sides of the ground contact on the first connection side, are arranged so as to be allocated in a second row and a third row located on both sides of the first row so that the pairs of signal contacts are arranged zigzag on the second connection side.

When the state of the operation member is changed to the first state, the push-back mechanism applies a push-back force to the operation member to change the state of the operation member back toward the initial state.

The receptacle connector includes a terminal module assembly defining a mating tongue loading with two rows of contacts on opposing surface of the mating tongue and a metallic shell retained on the terminal module assembly and enclosing the mating tongue, thereby defining a mating cavity between the metallic shell and the mating tongue. The plug connector includes an insulating housing defining a center slot with side walls and two rows of contacts on the side walls and a metallic shell attached to an outer periphery of the insulating housing. The mating cavity of the receptacle connector is configured to be symmetrical to a horizontal center line without orientation limits so as to allow the plug connector to be mated in two opposite orientations, and the center slot receives the mating tongue.
