摘要： A system for providing computer implemented services using information handling systems includes persistent storage and a system control processor manager. The system control processor manager instantiates composed information handling systems using the information handling systems; monitors, using system control processors of the composed information handling systems, operation of the composed information handling systems to obtain operation information; makes a determination, based on the operation information, that the computing implemented services provided by the composed information handling systems are substandard; and in response to the determination: manages operation of the composed information handling systems to provide standards compliant computer implemented services by modifying a composition of at least one of the composed information handling systems using a system control processor of the system control processors.

The method includes triggering a board management controller (BMC) to transmit a plurality of memory addresses identifying where a plurality of network packets received by the IHS are stored. A field programmable gate array (FPGA) within a processor receives the memory addresses of the network packets and retrieves the network packets. The network packets are analyzed by comparing at least one threat signature that is associated with undesired network behavior with the contents of the network packets. In response to the at least one threat signature matching the contents of at least one of the network packets, an intrusion alert is transmitted to the BMC.

摘要： On power-up, self-encrypting drives (SEDs, 150) are unlocked one after another in an order based on the SEDs' unlocking priorities. In determining the priorities, one or more of the following factors are taken into account: (1) the content stored on the SEDs; the SEDs storing the OS are given higher priorities; (2) the SEDs' access history on previous power-ups: if a SED was accessed earlier than other SEDs, then this SED is given a higher priority; (3) whether there is an access request pending for a SED. Such prioritization allows the system to reach full functionality faster on power-ups. Other features are also provided.
