摘要： A computer simulation method is disclosed for simulating an electrical cable having a stranded conductor surrounded by a conductor shield encased in an insulation jacket and having an interstitial void volume in the region of the conductor injected with a fluid composition comprising at least one dielectric enhancement fluid component so as to at least partially fill the interstitial void volume at an initial time. The simulation method comprises for a selected length of the simulated cable, defining a plurality of radially arranged finite volumes extending the selected length of the simulated cable, and estimating the radial temperature of each finite volume. For a selected time period after the initial time, performing a series of steps at least once and outputting or otherwise using the value of the new concentration for the dielectric enhancement fluid component within each finite volume.

摘要： An exemplary isolating tube, and production method thereof, includes a mechanically load-bearing plastic tube composed of a fiber-reinforced polymer for use in a cooling element which can be loaded with high voltage, during whose operation the isolating tube forms an electrical isolation gap and in the tube interior carries an agent which flows as a liquid and/or vapor. The isolating tube can have a diffusion barrier which is held coaxially by the plastic tube. Such an isolating tube can be produced using an exemplary novel method for production.

摘要： The present invention provides an electronic device package that can be fabricated using standard package fabrication technologies while providing a desired level of thermal transfer capability to an attachable thermal management system. The electronic device package according to the present invention comprises a housing that is specifically designed to couple with an evaporator portion of a thermal management system, for example a heat pipe. One or more electronic devices are mounted in thermal contact with the evaporator portion of the thermal management system. Upon completion of the fabrication of the package using standard techniques, the evaporator portion of the electronic device package is operatively coupled with a secondary portion of the thermal management system. In this manner the electronic device package can be fabricated to incorporate a desired thermal management system, while being fabricated using standard package fabrication processes and machinery.

摘要： The invention provides a heat sink device for receiving heat generated by an electrical chip. The heat sink device includes a cold plate having a bottom surface for receiving heat from the electrical chip and a top surface opposite of the bottom surface. The heat sink device also includes a finger member having a rounded tip centered on the top surface. The heat sink device also includes a force generating device having an anvil spaced from the finger member and a compressible member compressed between the anvil and the finger member. The compressible member generates a pressing force urging the finger member and the top surface together. The heat sink device also includes a moving device operable to move one of the anvil and the finger member relative to the other to change the pressing force generated by the compressible member.

摘要： The invention provides an insulated wire having a conductor and an insulator of paste extruded PTFE fine powder around the conductor. The paste extruded insulator has at least one closed continuous longitudinal air channel spaced apart from the conductor. The invention further provides a process for forming an insulator around a conductor by paste extruding lubricated PTFE fine powder in an extrusion device comprising a die, mandrel, and at least one channel-forming member. The die and mandrel form a converging chamber leading to an extrusion orifice and the channel-forming member is positioned in the orifice. The mandrel has a central bore for supplying the conductor. Lubricated PTFE fine powder is forced through the chamber and out of the exit of the orifice as a lubricated green extrudate around the conductor forming an insulator with at least one closed longitudinal air channel spaced apart from the conductor.

摘要： A cable assembly includes a plurality of insulated wires that are arranged in groups of one or more wires with adjacent pairs of the groups being interconnected at any given longitudinal location over the length of the cable. Therefore, the cable defines spaced attachment zones and unattached zones for the groups of wires along the length of the cable with each of the attachment zones including the interconnection of only a single pair of the groups of wires, successive attachment zones being spaced by a respective unattached zone and successive attachment zones interconnecting alternating pairs of the groups of wires. All of the wires are preferably encased in a flexible jacket having a substantially circular cross-section. With this arrangement, the wires extend for the length of the cable without skew and yet the overall cable is extremely flexible.
