摘要： Videos are retargeted to a target display for viewing with little to no geometric distortion or video information loss. Salient regions of video frames may be determined using scale-space spatiotemporal information. Video information loss may be a result of spatial loss, due to cropping, and resolution loss, due to resizing. A desired cropping window may be determined using a coarse-to-fine searching strategy. Video frames may be cropped with a window that matches an aspect ratio of the target display, and resized isotropically to match a size of the target display.

A method of processing multimedia data includes receiving interlaced video frames, obtaining metadata for the interlaced video frames, converting the interlaced video frames to progressive video using at least a portion of the metadata; and providing the progressive video and at least a portion of the metadata to an encoder for use in encoding the progressive video. The method can also include generating spatial information and bi-directional motion information, for the interlaced video frames, and generating progressive video based on the interlaced video frames using the spatial and bi-directional motion information.

The mixing may result in a frame optimized for a display device's color space, ambient conditions, viewing distance and angle, etc., while accounting for characteristics of the received data. The methods include receiving video and graphics/UI elements, converting the video to HDR and/or WCG, performing statistical analysis of received data and any additional applicable rendering information, and assembling a video frame with the received components based on the statistical analysis. The assembled video frame may be matched to a color space and displayed. The video data and graphics/UI data may have or be adjusted to have the same white point and/or primaries.

The display system includes a display panel, the display panel includes a color filter layer, a lens layer, and a white-light organic light-emitting diode (WOLED) array, wherein the lens layer, placed between the color filter layer and the WOLED array, is configured to refract light emitted from light groups of the WOLED array, so that the lights pass through the color filter layer to form images. The image display method includes: receiving a video signal; analyzing an image format of the video signal; converting the video signal to a light group control signal of each light group of the WOLED array according to a display setting of the display system and the image format of the video signal; and determining whether each light group is activated to display according to the light group control signal.

A transformation strategy is selected by selecting a first and a second aspect correction method. A first transformed video is generated by applying the first aspect correction method to the video. A second transformed video is generated by applying the second aspect correction method to the video. A first fingerprint is generated using the first transformed video. A second fingerprint is generated using the second transformed video. The combined fingerprint is generated by combining the first half of the first fingerprint with the second half of the second fingerprint.
