To accomplish this, a display apparatus of the embodiment replaces at least one of a plurality of frame images obtained by doubling the frame rate, with a different image before display. Specifically, the display apparatus replaces at least one of the double-speed converted plural frame images with a high-frequency emphasized image and at least one with a low-frequency component image, and displays the frame images. Furthermore, the display apparatus replaces an image at the border between cinema images with a different image before displaying.

摘要： Previously-produced motion pictures are enhanced for theatrical exhibition, at double the frame rate at which they were originally produced. New, rendered images are interpolated between each of the images of the original motion picture. For image components containing complex motion, those components are selected for treatment to correct for such complexity. This correction is accomplished by selecting specific pixels that cannot be made part of a synthesized image according to the prior art, repeating only those pixels as they appeared in the previous frame, and treating all other pixels in every image of the motion picture in the normal manner, known in the art. In the preferred embodiment, the pictures are projected through digital means at 48 frames-per-second. The invention allows for upgrade of previously-produced motion pictures for high-frame-rate presentation without repeating any frames; thereby improving the quality of presentation by eliminating any appearance consistent with low-frame-rate photography and presentation.

摘要： Wide-band multi-format audio/video production system with frame-rate conversion and methods performed by the audio/video production system. Compressed video content corresponding to an original format of a video program is processed to generate uncompressed video content in an internal format having a frame rate of 24 frames per second (fps) comprising progressive frames of pixel image data having an original pixel resolution. Progressive frames of pixel image data are buffered in a high-capacity memory buffer supporting asynchronous random read and write access. The progressive frames of pixel image data in the buffered progressive frames are processed to perform a frame-rate conversion from 24 fps to a higher output frame rate to produce progressive frames of converted video content having an uncompressed format. The progressive frames of converted video content are the stored in a compressed video format to produce a converted video program having a converted frame rate in accordance with the higher output frame rate.

摘要： A multi-format digital video production system enables a user to process an input video program to produce an output version of the program in a final format which may have a different frame rate, pixel dimensions, or both. An internal production format of 24 fps is preferably chosen to provide the greatest compatibility with existing and planned formats associated with HDTV standard 4:3 or widescreen 16:9 high-definition television, and film. Images are re-sized horizontally and vertically by pixel interpolation, thereby producing larger or smaller image dimensions so as to fill the particular needs of individual applications. Frame rates are adapted by inter-frame interpolation or by traditional schemes, including “3:2 pull-down” for 24-to-30 fps conversions. Simple speed-up (for 24-to-25 conversions) or slow-down (for 25-to-24 conversions) for playback, or by manipulating the frame rate itself using a program storage facility with asynchronous reading and writing capabilities. The step of converting the signal to a HDTV format is preferably performed using a modified upconversion process for wideband signals (utilizing a higher sampling clock frequency) and a resizing to HDTV format frame dimensions in pixels.

UE generation of the status PDU is coupled with the MAC layer reset. The RNC generates a message with a MAC reset indication. Following the MAC layer reset all PDUs stored in the UE MAC layer reordering buffers are flushed to RLC entities and then processed by RLC entities prior to the generation of a PDU status report. The PDU status report provides to the RNC the status of all successfully received PDUs. Upon reception of a PDU status report in the RNC, missing PDUs are realized and retransmitted to the UE.
