    • The disclosure provides a neighboring cell optimization method and a mobile communication system, which belong to the communication field. The method comprises: establishing an IUR connection between a first Radio Network Controller (RNC) and a second RNC; after the IUR connection is established successfully, the first RNC sending neighboring cell information to the second RNC; and the second RNC performing automatic neighboring cell optimization according to the neighboring cell information. With the disclosure, the neighboring cell information between two RNCs is updated in time, therefore the RNC is enabled to optimize the neighboring cell in time, and a timely cell handover performed by User Equipment (UE) is ensured, which provides a basis for ensuring call continuity of the UE.

    • A method for implementing local call local switch (LCLS) is provided in the present invention, and the method includes that: a mobile switching center (MSC) at a calling side receives a call establishment request of a calling user, and a MSC at a calling side transmits the local reference to a base station system (BSS) at the calling side and a MSC at the called side; the MSC at the called side transmits the received local reference to the BSS at the called side; and a BSS judges whether the local switch can be triggered according to the received local reference, and executes the local switch when determining that the local switch can be triggered. The present invention also provides a system for implementing LCLS. With the method and system provided by the present invention, the problem of unsuccessful local switch resulted by the BSS connecting multiple MSCs is solved.

    • In a radio access network (RAN) where information may be sent to a mobile radio unit using a shared radio channel shared by other mobile radio units, a first transport bearer is established between a first RAN node, e.g., a drift RNC, and a second RAN node, e.g., a base station, to transport data to be transmitted on the shared radio channel. A second transport bearer is established between the first and second RAN nodes to transport control information originated in the first RAN node that relates to the first transport bearer data. The first RAN node then transmits the control information over the second transport bearer to the second RAIN node. The control information might include, for example, scheduling information known to the first RAN node because the first RAN node supervises scheduling of data to be transmitted on the shared radio channel. The control information may provide to the mobile radio unit information needed to decode the data transmitted on the shared radio channel. Such needed information might include, for example, a frame identifier, a specific radio resource like a spreading code, and/or an indication of how different radio resources associated with different connections are multiplexed on the shared radio channel. In one example, non-limiting embodiment, the control information includes transport format indication information such as transmit format combination indicator (TFCI) information employed in third generation Universal Mobile Telephone Systems (UMTS) in accordance with the 3GPP specification.
