Various embodiments provide methods implemented by a processor to manage service preemption. In response to detecting that a service of a second subscription initiated on a first RF chain is or will preempt a service of a first subscription that is also serviced by the first RF chain, the processor may determine whether there is a similar service on a second RF chain that may be used as a substitute for the first subscription's preempted service and, when available, the processor may configure the first subscription to begin utilizing the substitute service until the first RF chain is available.

    • The various embodiments include methods and apparatuses for canceling nonlinear interference during concurrent communication of multi-technology wireless communication devices. Nonlinear interference may be estimated using a multilayer perceptron neural network with Hammerstein structure by dividing an aggressor signal into real and imaginary components, augmenting the components by weight factors, executing a linear combination of the augmented components, and executing a nonlinear sigmoid function for the combined components at a hidden layer of multilayer perceptron neural network to produce a hidden layer output signal. At an output layer, hidden layer output signals may be augmented by weight factors, and the augmented hidden layer output signals may be linearly combined to produce real and imaginary components of an estimated jammer signal. A linear filter function may be executed for the components of the jammer signal, and to produce a nonlinear interference estimate used to cancel the nonlinear interference of a victim signal.

    • Systems and methodologies are described that effectuate establishment of an IPSec tunnel for utilization in a wireless communication environment. IPSec establishment procedures on home base stations can be used to establish IPSec tunnels between home base stations situated on open access sectors of wireless communication environments and packet data interworking function components positioned at the contiguity of secured segments of the wireless communication environments. Moreover, high rate packet data point-to-point protocol challenge-handshake authentication protocols can be directed through the IPSec tunnels to facilitate authentication of access terminals associated with the home base stations in order to facilitate further communications with components dispersed within secure areas of wireless communication environments. Further, international mobile subscriber identities (IMSI) affiliated with access terminals associated with home base stations can be used to identify packet data serving nodes with which to establish communications between home base stations and packet data serving nodes.
