    • An apparatus and method corrects for zero ampere level current fluctuations in a current signal. First and second acquisition circuitry generate respective current and voltage data samples of the current signal. Current fluctuation data samples representative of zero ampere level deviations of the current signal are extracted corresponding to Off-periods of the current signal. The current fluctuation data samples of the Off-periods are interpolated to generate current fluctuation data samples representative of zero ampere level deviations of the On-periods of the current signal. The Off-period and On-period current fluctuation data samples are subtracted from the current data samples of the current signal to generate corrected zero ampere level current data samples.

    • A power supply extracts electrical power from the electro-magnetic field surrounding a high voltage power conductor and conditions the derived input power to provide a stable power source for instrumentation and communications equipment. The communications controller is a local network router that routes serial data traffic to selected communication devices such as an instrumentation processor, a power supply processor, or a maintenance port controller. The router forwards the data to other communications equipment and forwards data from the communicating equipment to an external network providing substantially simultaneous communications between the external network and the instrumentation processor, power supply processor and maintenance port controller.

    • An arrangement for use in a utility meter includes a switch, a processing circuit, and a magnetic element. The switch is supported on a first meter structure. The switch has at least a first and second state. The switch is configured to transition from a first state to a second state responsive to a detected magnetic field of a first polarity, and to transition from a second state to a first state responsive to a detected magnetic field of a second polarity. The processing circuit is operably coupled to determine whether the switch is in the first state or the second state. The magnetic element is supported on a second meter structure configured to be physically connected to the first meter structure, the magnetic element positioned such that removal of the second meter structure from the first meter structure causes the magnetic element to expose the switch to a magnetic field of the first polarity.

    • Apparatus and methods are provided to detect and control a voltage potential applied in a plasma chamber for processing a semiconductor wafer. The plasma chamber includes circuitry for monitoring and adjusting a pulsed RF bias voltage signal to be applied to a chuck in the plasma chamber, where the chuck is configured to mount the wafer for processing. The circuitry includes an RF bias voltage detector for detecting individual pulses of the pulsed RF bias voltage signal applied to the chuck. A timing circuit is provided for determining a time for sampling each of the individual detected pulses and a sample and hold circuit. The sample and hold circuit is triggered at the sampling time for sampling each of the individual detected pulses to determine and hold a voltage value representing a peak peak-to-peak voltage value of each individual detected pulse, and the sample and hold circuit is configured to provide a feedback signal representing the peak peak-to-peak voltage value of at least one of the detected pulses. Further included is a feedback circuit for adjusting the voltage of the pulsed RF bias voltage signal applied to the chuck according to a difference between the feedback signal and a desired voltage value of the RF bias voltage signal.
